No figure yet for us at Morcambe - looked about 300 on the terrace - maybe 350 in total.

Lower home crowd than Crewe, so Crewe really is your cup final...
Some see it as a derby, some don't, but cup final? Grow up.

Home crowd was down today for obvious reasons.

But ultimately we've just had a 10k home attendance and a 9k home attendance in hurricane conditions. Both on TV, ruined by Sky.

Not long ago we were getting 5 or 6k for home games v these 2. It's great to see.

They are two impressive home attendances for a League Two fixture when both televised. Vale fans should be proud, the locals come out and watch their team in great numbers this season.

It's not for everyone

2711 Walsall at VP, total crowd 9142.
Of which 2600 of them should be banned for throwing flares on the pitch, abusing the female liner and singing unnecessary song last time we played them about Darell Clarke shagging dogs. Didn't come to support there team basically come to cause trouble scum fan base.

The vale crowd was lower for 3 reasons. 1 because of the weather, 2 early kick off and 3 always lose to Walsall.

Both great crowds with TV yes, but the Crewe one was outstanding. Usually your night game crowds seem to be like ours, a good bit lower (1.5/2k) compared to Saturday. We didn't have a Tuesday night league crowd over 6k for nearly 20 years - until we played Wrexham...

Let's not talk about what some of your fans did 2 years ago last time you came to our place though eh?

I didn’t see any trouble and thought they were decent noise compared to other clubs who’ve come down, caveat a bit with it being a big rivalry for them so probably helped but other than giving the ball kid stick about his weight which was a bit harsh when he’s a kid (well done Sam Hart for checking on him) they were largely ok. The DC stuff from before was a disgrace and not just what is mentioned before but that’s a minority and can’t paint a full fan base on the actions of the gutter rats that exist in most fan bases in small numbers.

I'd say it looked closer to 500 on the terrace and 150 in the seats. Matt Dean (local radio.commentator) estimated close to a thousand but he was a way off I'd say

858 City at Crewe.

£28 (£29.50 with fees) a ticket. 12:30pm KO, on SKY with storm whatever it’s called.

I’m just pleased no more attended, because the FA ought to have words with Crewe and their sub-standard facilities.

Slightly inaccurate statement: -

Pre-match Port Vale have had their share of wins although must admit Walsall have twice as many.

Lost the last 6 at home to Walsall and went 20 years between 1965 and 1985 without beating them. It was easy money for me to bet on a Walsall win and the fact vale were favourites for a game they always lose in was printing money to me.

Couldn't really see the seats from TV, GY SLO sometimes tweets the Town following but not seen anything
