All down to the Bradford ‘security’ bloke. Absolute bell end, never any trouble at Bradford but he insists he always has ‘intelligence’ that it will kick off if the game starts 2 hours later

Huh?

You referring to West Yorkshire police?

This is quite clearly the next gen of Lance Stoe. They've taken out the wacky drug fuelled rambling chip and opted for a more subtle approach.

Numbers building nicely for our trip to Swindon on the 21st, over 400 sold so far (my 3 are in the post). Might grow again if we get a result and play well against Crewe this Saturday.

Now now, let's just say settling down to more like historic levels.

That’s harsh considering it’s a much better turnout than historic levels, this is a club that only managed 1100 15 miles down the road in the past. Even Wigan do better than that when they play Bolton.

Lest we forget, been a while.

It is harsh yes, apart from your ridiculously good numbers this season, I think most clubs are seeing a diminution of away support, outside of local derbies, when televised. Sky is having a big impact. Last season Notts would have sold out at Salford I expect (?). Could be worse next season - apparently there is a recession coming.

I’d just expect Crewe to take that many, whereas with Notts, I wouldn’t.

That’s all.
Notts is a funny one, they had a game for promotion at ours in 2011ish and only sold around 12-1500 IIRC which was terrible really. You'd expect anyone to sell out the 4500 on offer for that, especially as it was a localish game and the size of the club. Plymouth managed it a couple of years back for a Sunday 12pm KO.

But they've grown their fan base since so be interesting to see, but they've never in the past traveled particularly well to us.

Same here!

Most they’ve fetched to us (in modern times) is circa 800 and that was last season (albeit on a Tues night) and 700 or so in 2008.

Let's all have a go at Notts - 500 to Grimsby for a key Division 2 promotion clash in 1981. That created a perception in my formative teenage brain that Notts had utterly shite support. We were due to go Hillsborough shortly after, same distance, we'd filled 2 specials, and dozens of coaches, about 6k were expected to travel. Then it was called off, we got smashed 5-1 at home by West Ham a couple of other poor results and the dream was over. We took about 1200 to the rearranged game (and won 2-1).
