Sold our original allocation of 650 for Swindon, should be fun.
Ooh that was lucky then I took my lad for his ticket just after 2pm looks like he got one of the last ones.Sold our original allocation of 650 for Swindon, should be fun.
Can believe you haven't already sold out.
Shite!!
I agree. Another issues with, say 12.30 kick offs on a Saturday is a significant drop in hospitality income. Rather than ( at Grimsby) early afternoon haddock and chips, they probably have to do a 10.30/11am sausage sandwich but charge 25% of the price. Also not enough drinking time at the ground pre match for the rank and file.Wondering how much attendances will drop off next season with the realisation of kick-off times and wider availability of games on the box , that will be the acid test for me when the ST prices rise for the amount of games people will miss ; it's already looking clearer to me it was a bad deal for most clubs this sky one 150k more in tv monies but that could be wiped out and well more next season with the drop off in ST revenue alone for a lot of clubs i reckon .
Good point - I hadn't even thought about the loss of hospitality revenue but it's spot on. Fewer takers and lower spend - double whammy. 3pm ko and you can get people to hang around after as well. A game finishing at 2.30 they'll feck off home.I agree. Another issues with, say 12.30 kick offs on a Saturday is a significant drop in hospitality income. Switching games to Thursday evening bring different issues, but still reduced income
2,100 sold for Notts at the weekend. 304 tickets remaining - I think we’ll sell out.

2157 Bantams at Meadow Lane to see us get our annual stuffing there.
Spooky 661 Gy as well - a bit further but we've only been not great on the Blundell Park pitch - until today661 Carlisle in a total crowd of 6920. Great support from them given it’s the week before Xmas and obviously not great on the pitch at the mo.
Notts is a funny one, they had a game for promotion at ours in 2011ish and only sold around 12-1500 IIRC which was terrible really. You'd expect anyone to sell out the 4500 on offer for that, especially as it was a localish game and the size of the club. Plymouth managed it a couple of years back for a Sunday 12pm KO.
But they've grown their fan base since so be interesting to see, but they've never in the past traveled particularly well to us.
Let's all have a go at Notts - 500 to Grimsby for a key Division 2 promotion clash in 1981. That created a perception in my formative teenage brain that Notts had utterly shite support. We were due to go Hillsborough shortly after, same distance, we'd filled 2 specials, and dozens of coaches, about 6k were expected to travel. Then it was called off, we got smashed 5-1 at home by West Ham a couple of other poor results and the dream was over. We took about 1200 to the rearranged game (and won 2-1).

Our home support has been shite since about 1982...then utter shite since 1995 when BP went all seaterUtter shite away support thank you very much get it right.
I can't confirm which year exactly formed my view that Grimsby'a home support verges on embarrassing but I know it's been long standing and shown once again recently against Colchester at home. Pitiful.

And will always be shite at BP in it's current format - sold a lot for boxing day though , so more people annoyed they can't see the pitchOur home support has been shite since about 1982...then utter shite since 1995 when BP went all seater
