Probably, would match what the team served up on the pitch. It’s an ok number just imo, nothing better nothing worse.
Decent numbers watching what we are putting out at the minute, sounded decent on TV although overall the atmosphere sounded absolutely dead which is unusual with Valley Parade.

I think it's a decent turnout for Boxing Day.

Artell said post match you'll bring 1k on Sunday. Have you sold that many, or is that is one his sweeping rounding-up statements? Like when we lose X-1 at home to a top 6 side he always claims we should have been 3-up before our second half collapse began.

I very much doubt we’ll bring that. Maybe 5-600 as a guesstimate. In truth the game has somewhat flown under the radar to us and todays result probably won’t help a lot of last minute decisions.

I actually think the vale following is decent and it's the Doncaster following which ain't great. Just over 800 for a 1st Vs 3rd game.
I think that's ok from Donny, my vote for shite following of the day goes to Lincoln - 415 to Shrewsbury. Lincoln are usually challengers for that to be fair unless the trip is under an hour.

I don’t think we generally travel well to Walsall full stop, we maybe took 500 or so in the last couple of seasons, Saturday games as well. I think 833 at Walsall isn’t amazing all considering but for us it’s ok. I imagine Walsall would have brought a similar amount to us today too if fixture was reversed. For what it’s worth, I think 1300/1400 is decent at Bradford also, a few teams might bring near 2000 there but most local ish teams don’t I guess?.

It will be like a morgue it was yesterday , our home atmosphere seems dreadful and quiet these days tbh .

That's surprising to read that BP is a morgue.

I know home attendances at BP are poor but with such good and passionate away support you would think that would translate in part to home fixtures.

Yeah i don't get it tbh the attendance yesterday was actually alright i think they sold about 7300 but a lot of st holders didn't show again . The atmosphere was better when we were bad and getting 3 or 4k it's weird we are doing well now and I thought we played alright yesterday but some regulars still don't take to Artell's style of football which is seemingly a bit different in comparison to what he did at Crewe with a more methodical/slow passing style than loads of action - we rarely batter teams in terms of loads of pressure tbh

To be honest that’s exactly the same with us. Attendances have been higher than any point since we were last in the Championship but once the game kicks off you can almost guarantee within 10 minutes the “football in a library” chant getting belted out from the away end.

I think for us it's an issue that no one brings any fans aswell I mean maybe 5 or 6 teams will bring over 200 or 300 - i would be interested to know the average away attendance to teams in this league as I imagine we are near the bottom with maybe Carlisle & Barrow ? I dunno if the stats guys can do that on here but i would be interested

I'll add away numbers to the December Stats at end of month.
Have a look at November's stats for the info you're seeking.

That’s before we had 80% of the ground sold to STH. That’s made it more difficult to get decent noise going. If we had big game the ultra types would all buy together in Block A of the upper and the lower below and bounce off the away fans. Now Block A is nearly sold out. The club can’t designate that area safe standing like Lincoln and Mansfield have with their equivalent areas. There aren’t enough decent seats at BP and also it would never get past the safety committee. It’s not going to change until the owners are able to put serious cash into BP.
