1230 sold for Coventry on Saturday. Should be 2,000+

Couldn't have been any wetter, that was a proper deluge. If it had started raining much earlier that would never have finished.

I know it's not League 2 as such but there were a quite frankly superb 509 York at Oakwell tonight in the JPT. Brought similar last year in the same competition. Don't know what their league followings have been like but noticed they're 22nd so to bring that many in the tinpot cup is a bloody great effort.

Cheers for that - I wasn't at this one but we usually have decent away followings given the size of club we are. Similar to you lot, we are in terrible form and fans are starting to find other things to do on a Saturday, but the away following is holding up OK.

I'm not that surprised by a following like that. A cup game always offers some welcome distraction from a wretched league campaign and when was the last time you played Barnsley at Oakwell?

We've currently sold 648 of the 900 we get at Northampton. Probably be around 720

See my initial post. They played us in the JPT at Oakwell last season too so wasn't a new ground for them.

We've a lot of local games but it'll still average out above 1,000 even if we get relegated, always seem to have a couple of hundred that go everywhere regardless of how shit we've been for the past 15 years. Hopefully things will pick up for you lot this season.

Luton have sold out their allocation of tickets for their game at Stevenage a week on Saturday. Can't remember how many exactly, but think it was just short of 2,000.

Meanwhile our c2,700 allocation for Portsmouth on 28th December goes on sale to ST holders today. I missed out last year despite being a ST holder which proves how difficult it was for Luton fans to get tickets to some away games last season.

For some clubs, I don't know why there isn't a ballot based on privileges? I.e. if there's 1000 tickets but 6,000 ST holders for a massive promotion bank holiday game, you shouldn't be forced to take a day off work to go and queue up for 2 hours like I did for the Cambridge game a couple of years ago.

That's pretty good taking what roughly 25% of your home support to stevenage?

I'd hazard a guess based on visiting stevenage that we take 50% of our home support... What's a few percent amongst those swinging their shlongs!!!:brill:

Luton have reduced our away following on Saturday by taking the stupid decision to make the game all ticket.

Not again.

Please refer to the many earlier posts from various other clubs which explain about the situation at the Oak Road end.

Can't see anything for ages.

Could you care to explain?

Oak Road end is now split between home and away fans. The number available to away fans is capped at just over 1000, but is less when poorly supported sides (such as Barnet :bg: - sorry, couldn't resist) come to town. Luton therefore need to have an idea of how many away fans are coming to know how many tickets to sell to home fans. Also should the unimaginable happen and more than 1000 Barnet fans turn up (I know....) there would be some unhappy people locked out. Hence, all ticket.
However, it is not unknown for tickets to be available on the day, subject to phoning up first, and availability.

Cheers.

Do Luton reveal the amount of tickets sold before the game normally?

If you mean the number of tickets sold by the away side then unlikely, but Barnet would know and would surely publish, especially if nearly sold out.
If you mean the number of home fans, again unlikely unless sold out, but the online booking page on the official site would give a good idea.

I'd expect tickets to be available in the away end on Saturday, if not then there will probably be cash turnstiles in the home areas as long as you keep quiet when you score - I can't see this one selling out, especially given the way we are playing at the moment.

892 Stags at Sixfields. Their 'massive prick' element was out in force it seems.
