I’m not sure what you mean, I just mean we were voted as best away experience by Skybet. And let’s be honest folks they know their sh*t! Slightly surprisingly with only two home defeats all season, but the football world knows its a great away day

Enjoy

Ah. I got the wrong end of the stick. Thought you were extolling the virtues of your away support.

I'd say the key for promotion is to sign goalscorers (if that's not obvious).

Mansfield were seen as the high profile 'spenders' last season, but they only signed Angol and Spencer as forwards, who were never going to hit the 20+ goals they needed. Kane Hemmings was their top scorer with 15. Whereas, we had Hylton and Collins who scored 40+ goals between them, plus Berry and Lee following on behind.

Yeah. We were promised a championship forward (for whatever reason) and got Kane hemmings - it was like being promised a Ferrari and being provided with a Robin reliant - even though he turned out not to be so bad.

Have a proper 20 goal man, maybe even 2 if lucky and you’ll have a great chance to go up.

On our first ever visit to FGR some of our supporters missed the start of the match because of cows in the road. That is when most of us realized we were in a Tin Pot league!

Indescribably shite football played by, mainly, shite footballers and officiated by shite refs.
I dunno I thought the ref at the Swindon v Grimsby game was excellent...... ;)

There's a lot of "game management" that goes on. In fact, now Wymcombe have gone we are likely to be the main culprits.

Morecambe set up to not lose. Every. Fucking. Game. Even their own fans hate it. That's why they regularly have sub-1000 crowds, it's appalling to watch.

In the scheme of things it didn’t really matter that much to us, so I’ll gladly give you that most awful of decisions. Looks like it gave you that little bit of impetus.

...don't know what you are complaining about, at least the Llamas and stayed in their field...otherwise you might have been spat on too!

Hard to pick out runners and riders this early on. Like others have said a big budget perhaps doesn't mean as much here as it does in League One so almost anyone could fly out of the blocks in August and then stay up there for the rest of the season. It's difficult to put together a side that is head and shoulders above everyone else, and so everyone can beat everyone else, nobody is consistent for long, Accrington Stanley's consistency that won them the title was rightly lauded, but even that was only for half the season.

Morecambe are likely to struggle, they struggled this season and seem to have lost some of their fight, their ownership is questionable, attendances are right down and they've stopped gaining all the points they need to escape relegation by the end of September.

The new teams to this division will be an unknown quantity, I imagine most of them will be undergoing massive rebuilds. It's not unusual for the relegated teams to finish at opposite ends of the table, promoted teams tend to do alright though.

The bookies had Mansfield odds on for the title before the start of this season, in the end they didn't even make the playoffs, though Evans buggering off had something to do with that they hardly lit the division up beforehand. They spent a lot of money and I don't know whether they are able to spend it all again.

The losing playoff teams will probably still be in the top half of the table next year. Exeter have been decent for a while and Coventry would still be expected to do well, Notts seem to be well run at long last and Lincoln will no doubt continue refereeing their own games.

Carlisle are currently managerless, directionless and losing players left right and centre but other than that, really anyone else could finish anywhere.

I'm confident we'll do alright.. Unlike our last stint in L2 we play football properly and we have momentum from winning the conference. A few quality additions I think we will do OK.

You’ll get nowhere playing football properly. Just be shit like the rest of us and trust to luck like we all do.

Last time we played good football in L2 we got promoted, so hopefully it serves us well again.

This is of course absolutely spot on. I met a Chesterfield fan when we played MK Dons in the League Cup, he was working in the area and just wanted to take in a game, also to visit what was a new ground for him. That night we played reasonably well against the visitors but they just edged it in extra time. His view was that we would be OK, based on what he had seen that evening, and he predicted a top ten finish for his own team. We all know what happened last season, we stayed up by the skin of our teeth and both Chesterfield and MK Dons were relegated...I am beginning to wonder if he had ever been to a football match before, although that early in the season it may have been a little early to make genuine predictions. I usually think that you will have a fair idea who the strugglers will be after about ten games...certainly not a couple of weeks after the summer break has begun.

My advice...enjoy your summer, scream at England players on the telly during the World Cup, spend too long in a pub garden on a Sunday afternoon and go home looking like a gammon, listen to Test Match Special on the radio, pretend that you are interested in tennis during Wimbledon fortnight, try and spend a couple of days at the seaside but pack your waterproofs...above all, forget League Football until August, at which point let hostilities commence!

Who’s your best player mate

We don't really have stand out players, but as a team they are superb. The likes of Durrell can be a game changer though and it will be interesting how he does on L2.

Cheers lads. Doesn’t look that good from his “career stats”. Sure Macclesfield can replace with better

They’ll be working off around an 800k budget. Going to be a tough summer for them but Askey seems to turn misfits into a good team.
