Pretty even game at Plough Lane, the fine margins that were going in our favour earlier in the season really aren't now. Quite liked the new Wimbledon ground, incredibly poorly staffed on the bar though and they slip in at #2 behind Northampton in the shithouse table. Can't grumble at the result though, they put a chance away and we didn't. Still don't think there's anything to worry about. We're solid and weren't outfought today, just lacking some edge in front of goal. Two bang average sides.
Yes, but that's the Wimbledon way, and I can't grumble about the result either. The ref was shite, McAtee was probably onside for the disallowed, but we did nothing much after the goal. We are pretty solid yes, but McAtee is wasted playing that far forward with his back to goal and we've no other options to lead the line up front. The young lads on loan always look like youth teamers in games like this.

I don't actually agree that it was an even game yesterday. Perhaps in terms of possession, in the first half at least, but I thought we had the better chances throughout and were the better side. In the second half we were in the ascendancy and Northampton ran out of ideas, despite making five changes.

I think we are decent finisher away from being a good team, although a few sides have probably said that down the years.

Tom Davies was the best player on the pitch and was superb.

Just thank your lucky stars you haven't watched what I've been forced to watch this season.

How is your player? I heard he had run into the goal post but in truth I'm none the wiser.

As for the game, your subs were great for us. Two jammy goals got us a win in a rather uneventful game. The BBC stats say you didn't have a shot on target. I'm goingto take that as a bloody big positive.

Casey

I think I saw a super slow mo where somehow Khan managed to head your keeper's knee! He's been released from hospital but presumably will be out for a couple of weeks for concussion protocols.

As for the game, it's difficult to process league 2 football having watched almost all of the World Cup but it was dismal. First half forgettable really. Second half we brought Darcy on for Gladwin and he injected a bit more urgency. I guess the scene was set when he found himself in a great position and all he had to do was roll/cross to Jeff Cott but did neither and it went for a throw in. Crawley if anything were worse than us but a deflection from a shot after a cleared corner and a poor bit of play by Louis Reed was finished well from distance.

I'm scratching my head as to why after we beat Mansfield 5-2 away with a 4-4-diamond formation we've not used it since and haven't won, and had barely any shots on target. I'm probably way more patient than a lot of our fanbase but I'm questioning the management now. He said pre-season we were going to be playing quick attacking football through the thirds, I think we do play through the thirds and out possession the opposition but despite the attacking 'talent' we have, most opposition keepers barely have to get their kit dirty. Collect a few crosses etc but we really do underwork them. For me he has the Christmas and New Year period but if it doesn't improve I think a change is needed. We have won 1 in 6, last time we had 1 in 7 was in 2019. Apparently not even the useless drunk dinosaur Sheridan managed it.

Scunthorpe is the best case scenario mate unless we are sold soon.

Absolutely diabolical we've ended up like this again, and the biggest piss take is the arrogant c*** programme notes saying Curle is the best manager we've had under his tenure, then thinking he'll get one over on DC, announces his perm deal on the day Challinor comes and wallops us 5. The only one who comes out of it with any decency is DC with what he said about us before and after the game. If he'd been backed he'd still be here.

The fuck out of our club, Raj.
Sounds like Challinor was holding back on what happened behind the scenes as well. Raj sounds like a right whopper, sorry that you guys have to suffer with someone like that.

Another football chairman who can’t see past his own nose. Hopefully Curle can work some magic and save you because I couldn’t imagine the heartache of dropping back into non league after finally clawing out of it the way you guys did.

Harry Pell is an absolute embarrassment.
Thankfully a decent ref for once and be booked the cheating twat.
The man is a disgrace to football. He always has been. The amount of cheating he did at our place a few week ago was off the charts but there again he wasn`t the only culprit amongst that Wimbledon side. There were quite a few of them.

What's worse is the fans screaming for a red card. I'd be embarrassed seeing that from your own player.
