Cracking effort tonight, didn’t see that coming we literally should of had 7 or 8 so good were some of the chances. Way has to go or based on that Yeovil will be struggling to stay up.

Half way to safety.

Only stupid blotch is Pope getting a one match ban for a yellow card for dissent when 3-0 up!

Where's that daft pic of Ainsley Harriet gone from the smilies? Would be so much easier to use than go googling pics of Big Sol.

With out a doubt ifollow is making a huge difference, I wasn't going anyway (live miles from Cleethorpes) , will be at Chesterfield on Sunday though. I bet 100's in the local area (of North East Lincs) did the same as me.

Anybody know the dates for the play offs ?

If only Manny could be injury free, we’ve only lost once in the league (Colchester) when he’s done the 90 minutes!

Yeovil I think have a few out but defensively they were terrible so not sure what we can take from it, five winnable games now up to New Years Day in the league, hopefully we can get a few points on the board and start another run now Manny and Monty are fit again.

Monty is an enigma, most were furious Aspin played him after Saturday but he was on fire tonight.

Few more injuries to come back so we can enjoy the break now and recoup.

Back to back wins. Interested to see what Wellens can do in the January window.

Tonight was better than anything we've seen at home for a long time by all accounts.

Great performance by us after the first 20 minutes. 2nd goal looks proper dodge and the penalty looks soft (though Tranmere didn't protest) but we controlled the game. Tranmere had no concerted periods of pressure, though they did look dangerous the few times they found themselves in the final third. Mullins' goal was a hell of a finish.

Clifton's header though.

Embleton is going to be a top Championship player, I just hope we can keep him for the season.

Way should have gone a year ago but he'll never get sacked regardless of how badly we do - especially not a week after getting a two year contract extension.

1 win in 11 now.

Excellent second half from us, we've seen it a number of times this season but have always been let down by the end product. Tonight we stepped it up a gear and showed what we're actually capable of. Looked a stonewall penalty for us, although I did wonder for a second if he was gonna give it or not in order to make up for the handball. Didn't matter in the end as Tranmere completely collapsed and we duly took the piss out of them. They played some great stuff at times but their second half was largely very poor.

Embleton is fantastic but I think Vernam is just as important to the way we want to play. Their link up is fantastic. Hessenthaler did so much unseen work tonight too. Harry Clifton though, the kid is improving at an absolutely astonishing rate. It was only a few weeks ago I thought he was probably too raw to have a starting place but his intelligence with the ball seems to evolve to another level every game. This is the benefit of having a management team with a wealth of experience coaching youth at a high level. Our squad is generally very young but the improvement in all of them is there to see.

Thought Morecambe were the worst side to visit Stadium MK this season for most of the game, with a little improvement in the latter stages. We were without our top 2 scorers (Agard and Aneke) for most of the second half, and without our two first choice CBs (JMT and Walsh) for most of the game.

We were far from our best, but we didn't need to be.

I knew Grimsby would put a load past Tranmere as soon as I saw Bakayoko was playing for them.

Cruised to what sounded like a comfortable home win over Cambridge. First time we've beaten them since 1995. Granted we didn't play them for 21 years and we've only played them 4 times since 95, but still, they'd beaten us 4 times in a row heading into this one, so nice to get one over them.

The home form is keeping us from getting into trouble, the away form is keeping us from going much higher than 13th. Nice little break to get the first team rested up. Given the depth is non-existent at the moment, we're going to need this current starting XI to keep going through till January, until we can get some reinforcements.

Mansfield have a nice rest until the 4th now in the checkatrade then big spenders Notts County on the 8th, considering we have been playing tues/sat for weeks on end now it’s come at a good time.

Ollie Palmer called us shithouses on Twitter, what a nonce.

Just catching up on this thread.

Vale fans look a bit silly.
I've held my hands up , look a right mug.
99% of support were astounded at the team. 5 centre halves and Montano was hauled off on Saturday for basically lack of effort.
Could not believe Montano was considered , and he goes and notches two goals.

A surprise performance, although Yeovil must of been staggeringly bad .

Hands up though i called a defeat to nil as per usual.

Great to hear BB.

It sounds like Wellens has changed the pace we play at and its having an instant impact. Under Brown the play was so slow and ponderous. It sounds like Wellens has come in, upped the players fitness levels and tweaked the pace of our play. It sounds like we ran out of steam last 15 which shows how hard we worked against a competent side in Stevenage.

Hopefully we'll be able to feature in a play-off challenge this season, although I am not going to get ahead of myself.
