I've held my hands up , look a right mug.
99% of support were astounded at the team. 5 centre halves and Montano was hauled off on Saturday for basically lack of effort.
Could not believe Montano was considered , and he goes and notches two goals.

A surprise performance, although Yeovil must of been staggeringly bad .

Hands up though i called a defeat to nil as per usual.

We all did. Barely created a chance in the last two games and a real horror show on Saturday so to go so negative was infuriating... shown us all up for mugs and guess thats the difference a Manny Oyeleke makes.

Its funny how much of a difference one player can make. For us its Michael Doughty, he completely makes us tick. When he is missing we look a totally different side.

Mansfield have a nice rest until the 4th now in the checkatrade then big spenders Notts County on the 8th, considering we have been playing tues/sat for weeks on end now it’s come at a good time.

Ollie Palmer called us shithouses on Twitter, what a nonce.

A lot of your postponements at home seem to ‘come at a good time’ don’t they?

We've lost once when Manny has played the full 90 in the league this season....

Up until beating Oldham late October we'd lost all six he had missed. I'd never heard of him when he signed from Aldershot but he has been a revelation.

I think it was fair given our line-up, but we underestimated how poor Yeovil are despite that they tore you apart.

That was when they were good. They also beat 4th placed Newport 6-0 away and went on some crazy run without conceding. Talk about getting them at a bad time!

They have injuries I think although mainly to attacking players yet it was defensively they were a complete shambles yesterday. They'll randomly dick Lincoln or someone 5 or 6 though out of nowhere as they do!

Felt for their guy they had to haul off early on as he got murdered. Their manager got slaughtered, every time the ball went out and he retrieved it he got booed and he took off their best player (oddly the only one big enough to deal with aerial balls) and got a battering although he looked tired to be fair.

Get injuries back and I assume they will pick up but in a bad rut, easily the worst performance of any team against us by far this season or last.

Yes we are staggeringly bad. x10.

Yeah we're turd again and more injuries last night. Thought it would be more than a 2-0 defeat last night so that's a bonus. Andrew Tutte is becoming our latest high profile (if you can say that for us) signing that has become crocked since coming here. We ruined Peter Murphy for example.

Next up Vale on the 8th, so that's another tanking.

What all 2 postponements we’ve had at home in the last 5 years?

Yeah makes it even weirder that your pitch stands up to most weather conditions unless you have injuries or have played a lot of games in a short period of time :ohm:

Look we are better than you, that’s it.

Football changes and one day you’ll be able to say the same thing to me.

It’s a shame you was not in the Mansfield area yesterday so you would realise how much it rained, go and look at the pictures it’s not difficult.

Unless we photoshopped them, also I heard Radford helicopter main purpose is chemtrails.

For twenty minutes, we looked great and there's was only one team in it. Then Grimsby starting pressing us and McNulty picked up a knock, and we collapsed. Even excluding the "Hand of Cod," our second half performance was dire. Home fans were very quiet by the standards of Grimsby, not that we can talk after Saturday.

That Wes Thomas handball was Tranmere’s punishment for allowing FGR into the Football League after we’d weorked hard to keep the fuckers out the year before. Now we’re squits.

I thought it was a very strange game last night. For half an hour I thought we were comfortably in control and looked the higher placed team, and I could not see Grimsby getting back into it. We then had a mad five minutes where both full backs made bad errors and we found ourselves 2-1 down. After McNulty went off injured, our defence evaporated.

I think we need to wise up tactically away from home. Playing two attacking full backs with a fairly lightweight midfield will get you into trouble at any reasonable level. Melllon has been brilliant this season, but we do have a bit of a Kevin Keegan, 'we will score one more than them', attitude away from home.

I was right behind Mullin's strike which was as good a finish as you will see. He has been a great signing, but has not got much recognition because of Norwood's exploits.

Agreed we need to do something urgently to tighten up in these away games. No need to go to brabin or parry lengths but letting in 3 or more repeatedly is useless. The 'we'll score one more than you' attitude you mention would be fine if we actually did score one more than them most of the time, but whenever there's a high scoring game on the road, we're usually on the wrong end of the scoreline. Morecambe's the exception but even then we did our best to throw it away.

Had time to reflect. Thought we were the better team after the first half hour as only then did we start to play football, because the wind was doing us no favours against McNulty. We played some nice stuff but I just wish Thomas could’ve used his head because I don’t like to see that. 3rd goal was awful but we’ll take it. I thought the penalty was soft but Tranmere didn’t seem to complain. And a combination of good play and bad defending for the fifth.

Tranmere are a decent side who had some bad luck last night. Didn’t think they were anything spectacular when they were on top but the players knew their roles. Monthe was by far their best player.

As for us, our home form keeps getting better. Our midfield is made up of good footballers but the only thing we really lack as a team is pace. The goals are now coming but we just need to play for the full 90 minutes now. Elliott Embleton and Charles Vernam are very good players.

First time we’ve scored 5 goals in over two years. Christ.

We wanted to play the Crawley game on Saturday but Ollie Palmer is off to Ibiza and the manager is on holiday in Italy.

Grimsby fans I expect you will react accordingly.

I found it odd our Yeovil game wasn't move to the Saturday with us both out to be honest. We explored playing the lardies in the Checkatrade on Saturday but they blocked that as their first team are playing so assume want a couple of them involved.

Usually against Grimsby, and then we win anyway :)
But but but.... if you reschedule the game and “win anyway” that’s exactly the point of getting the original game postponed, no?

I believe there was an inch of rain in the Exeter area leading up to Tuesday. The South West bore the brunt of Storm Diana.
Yet the game was never in doubt, and the pitch played perfectly.
Shame as I wish it had been called off now...

It was a couple of inches deep on the pitch, it was a freak downpour.

It was relentless until about 7pm.

We reschedule the game for when we've not got lots of injuries and suspensions....

* It is only a windup, it's not something we do intentionally, though the Grimsby fans seem to have got a rough end of the deal on this

As already mentioned in the FA Cup thread, our home game against Exeter will now be a Tuesday night.

We're a bit weird at the minute. Can't remember exactly but along the lines of unbeaten in 12 but drawn 8 or something daft. It's kept us ticking over but has felt a bit flat over the last few weeks.

It's not been the kindest run of fixtures, it just would've been nice to add another 2 or 3 wins in there.
