We are really just a hopeless case every time the opposition scores first. Definitely the one constant trend going back through multiple Vale managers.

Started brightly but Yeovil getting well back into it, or as our commentator just put it, we're being "forced into unforced errors" :D tbf he did catch himself

Saw the first on a steam Jesus! Our corner comes out Monty just needs to launch it away and backs off for them to break two on one!

We are so inconsistent we’ve battered our last two opponents then put this in when you go into a game fancying us to win!

We started very well but struggled to find anything clear cut before they went up and scored from a deflection. We changed our system but have been very poor since the goal and Cheltenham deserve the lead over the half. Would be disappointing to lose this one after our recent improvement but we need a much, much better second half.

Hallmark of a mid table side really which is the limit of what we will achieve this year. Doesn’t make it less frustrating even if kind of expected it.

Yep, sadly it was bound to happen. I expect early changes second half, possibly Forte coming on.
Sounds like Stockley is our best defender too

Good performance first half by us with the wind. Probably should be further ahead but given how strong the wind is, we may face a battering by Newport in the second.

Exeter are a good side, you can see that despite us being on top so far.

I’d expect you to challenge for the top 3, can’t see it in bury tbh - they thankfully did us a favour in the cup also on Tuesday.

On what basis? We haven't had a shot on goal so far

Exeter penalty taken by Jayden Stockley saved!

Exeter also picking up quite a few yellow cards, could come back to haunt them?

Sounds like the ref isn't taking into account the pitch.
Or in fact, that unless he keeps interrupting play a game might break out

You’re a side that’s resourceful and always seem to be in or around there. One bad performance doesn’t make a season

We have battered Cheltenham all half after we switched to a flat 5 midfield. Their best player on the right hadn't had a sniff as a result thanks to Pringle covering him. Jolley changed it late and brought Pringle off and the man instantly finds himself in acres of space and gets them a penalty. Sickening as we deserved a point at the very least but can't help but feel like Jolley has made a big error there.

Good game despite all that. Don't think either team will struggle too much. Officials were truly atrocious.

Scrappy and in horrible weather but our injury hit team was still good value for the win, hopefully putting an end to that little blip.

Don’t know how/why fans like Cambridge travel such distances and are then silent even when the game is evenly balanced as it was first half.

How the hell did we not lose that! Score on the 84th and 87th minute and save a penalty on the 88th! Great character but the worst performance this season by far. Got out of jail big time!

Well we kept it tight and limited the defeat to just 1-0. The other games this month are much more winnable so there's still hope of us catching up.

3 wins in a row for Wellens. Forgetting the cup defeat to Woking it’s an impressive start. Football much better than under jobbie Brown. Seems slicker, quicker and more attacking. Newport are a good side so I’m well pleased with the result and we’re looking up and not down anymore - long may that last
