What's going on with Colchester? Losing 2-0 to a 10 man Crawley team who some were tipping for relegation, now down to ten themselves.

Bit of an odd one, gives us a bit of a cushion though.

Expected a hammering, but it never happened. We still need a change of leadership though.

Annoying thing is if he had the identity and organisation shown today we’d have probably had better results over Xmas.

Aspin will survive for now.

He was never going to do anything different, that negativity is who he is as a manager. Will be back to the same old Vale for the next game but pulling this result out of our arses has bought him time.

Looks like will be going forward without Mitchell Clark so it seems so that will be back to a centre back in the fullback position.

I expect that they had an off day. We really aren't that good right now.
Only pissing about really on a high after the late winner. They seem to have had an off month or two but have still ground out the results, so reckon you did well to get anything having gone behind.

Meh, knew we'd lose. Only truly disappointing aspect was that we seemed to be doing well up until HT, sounded like we should have been more than 1 up. Then we lose Green and fall to shit. Obviously more than just losing him, Bury will have upped their game after getting a rocket from the manager.

Don't care what excuses there are, they have to get a result at Morecambe on Saturday, especially with MK Dons, Oldham, Tranmere, Mansfield and Swindon still to visit.

Lucky Rovers. Northampton the better side although we still managed to spurn chances to bury it! We had a good spell for fifteen minutes from the start, and then again for the last twenty minutes. But in-between we were simply poor. No answer to the pace and speed at which Northampton got forward. They planted cross after cross into our box, our central defence were all over the place. Our midfield barely turned-up. Credit to them, they had us well a truly on the ropes. Hopefully the striker we need will be forthcoming. We have to take our chances because inevitably they left plenty of gapes at the back.

It's proving very tough towards the top. We need to up our game at home if we are to feature in the play-offs.

Another game where we've struggled. Port Vale deserved their point, though there is concern over the recent performances. We look tired both mentally and physically and tried to foolishly sit on a lead. Really let Port Vale in to the game and they scored with a beaut unfortunately.

We need more bodies in that contribute towards playing time and a break, though the latter isn't coming!

Jayden who?
Feared the worse when Law limped off but to be fair we defended superbly and it was an excellent goal from Collins that sealed it.
Back in the hunt..

Interesting post match interview, Aspin suggests he may not be here for the next game as doesn’t feel he has the fans support and a meeting on Thursday to discuss future.

Am I right in saying Yeovil are lucky to have him - I think the rest of the league is lucky Yeovil have him at the moment.

He said in his pre-match interview that we had momentum. 1 win in 17. Momentum.

To be fair, he didn't say what kind of momentum. The momentum of dropping down the table and towards relegation is pretty special right now I'd say.

Not sure what's happened at Colchester. The reverse fixture they had us on the run most of the game and I came away thinking they had a good chance of an automatic promotion spot. This game they were toothless and lacklustre.

From where I was our red was straight up, sometimes seen yellows given for those but couldn't really complain...ref had a good game really, a couple of strange decisions but could have been my angle of view.

To play sixty minutes with ten men and win 2-0 with the goals coming after we were down to ten is very pleasing. Don't get me wrong. We weren't great but good enough to beat Colchester today.

Felt a little sorry for the Colchester no6. Took one for the team after a bad bounce beat him and we scored from the free kick anyway.

You looked a solid playoff team when we beat you 2-1 on Boxing Day. If you can avoid sales in January you’ve a chance.

Sounded like Manny was back to his best again when he plays well we do and on this bad run we are on in till today he had been playing poorly. I don't really want aspin as manager anymore as his tactics team selections don't impress fans and his results ain't been good but if Danny Pugh was to be the next manager then I'd rather keep aspin as he seems to care about the club whereas Pugh would be another Michael Brown unproven failure appointment.

Manny was superb, the thing with Lincoln you know what your going to get, think of the Stevenage sides under Westley when they were doing well, physical, bullies, loads of pressure on the referee and their bench and players screaming for every decision, even the ridiculous claims. The issue they had when we didn’t kick the ball out after they’d initially played on was petulance.

The difference today (bar conceding again from a bloody corner against them!) was that we had to be physical back and stand up to it, Manny is a beast in the middle, Kay a warrior and Pope at the top and the difference was there to see compared to the game at our place.

One tackle from Clarke on their guy sent him flying, gets it wrong he’s off but that commitment was there today. The way we play seems to suit us away as we’ve only lose twice on the road since August. The failure for Aspin is not having a way to play that works at home. Sort that out and he’d not be on the verge.

Come on Yeovil, sort it out. We want to keep as many local games as possible next season.
Hopefully you can start on Saturday...

I feel you’re discrediting Lincoln slightly, admittedly I haven’t seen them play this season but they sit top of the league fairly comfortably.
