I give up with them. 63 fans. Fair play to anyone who went. That is Stevenage or Forest Green support, the club is dying.

0-0 isn't bad I guess but we couldn't even fill our subs bench tonight it's an absolute abortion

To be fair, Pope, Miller, Whitfield, Legge all out who are big players for us.

That said it sounds like Aspin will be gone tomorrow as he states his future will come to a head tomorrow...

They are but that’s the issue isn’t it? Our best form of the season was Pope and Miller up top, Whitfield wide.

I don’t get the issue with going back to the XI from the autumn certainly at Vale Park.

Where are these Askey rumours coming from?

Twitter. Possibly as he was there Saturday and was close to getting the job when Aspin got it. Surely even Smurf wouldn’t sack Aspin this late in the window with nothing lined up?

That’s what you’d hope that Askey and Smurf have been working on it. Get the injuries back and suspensions and we will be ok for survival I think.

Elliott looks alright actually!

There in lies the problem, left it far too late for a new manager to assess the squad and strengthen it. I actually don't think Aspin will go as Smurthwaite will not want to pay him compo in any case, only chance is if he chooses to walk.

Fair play on going mate . The only ground I haven't been in league 2, would of gone on 5th January but Wrexham messed that up .
I guess with goal difference you could argue we are 7 clear but we have some pivotal games after this weekend's defeat to Tranmere

We will see. Aspins words are speculation over his future will come to a head tomorrow so either a new deal or fired!

I didn’t I watched it on ifollow. One I need to tick off though.

Looking at Notts and Macc fixtures a great chance for us to extend it at the weekend. Tranmere are as pants away as we are at home but need some bodies in. Legge in for Gibbons Rawlinson wide? Please not Vassell!

Oh right, I plucked my eyebrows instead, more entertaining.

Depends on the manager, second guessing Aspin is impossible.
Tranmere have been slipping but we can't buy a goal. There isn't much leeway to change anything really. Really hope Dagnall isn't the striker either.

Ironically the one professional club in Britain whose official name do start with 'The' never get called that.

Having seen a frame by frame replay of the red on Facebook this morning it looks even less of a red than last night when it clearly wasn't a red for Gibbo. We have to appeal that surely?!

I wouldn't bother appealing the decisions never get overturned unless it's a case of mistaken identity.

Tranmere's momentum deserted them a bit? Not in great form over the last few weeks.

A case of just being in bad form, or some of the promotion squad being found out and not good enough?

Terrible terrible performance from us last night has left me completely underwhelmed with our new signings. It’s as if Micky Adams is back at Prenton Park in charge of recruitment. The absence of Steve McNulty has left a massive void on the pitch and his leadership was sorely missed. Northampton were no great shakes either, although Hoskins 2nd goal was an absolute peach.

Same as us last year, we didn't invest in our first summer and our squad were no where near good enough, spending a bit of money in January saved us. And now we've got rid of a lot of last year's squad.

I see Lincoln made a loss of over £1m last year. During the same period we made a £500k profit. Pleased to see that unlike them we are sustainable and operating within our means. Apparently both ourselves and Carlisle have by far the smallest budgets of the promotion contenders.

Most of which was capital expenditure i.e. the new training ground and additions to the stadium (Legends Lounge, which has already paid back it's cost). Phase two of the training ground will be in next seasons figures.

Still £2.4m in the bank, debt free, no Director loans, asset base nearly doubled etc etc.

Our yearly loss was slightly less because we had to run 13 months to come in line with the EFL regulations.

A strong set of accounts.

Yeah, but they’re top of the table and you’re vying for the POs. £1m is fuck all in the scheme of things when you’re being successful. Look at the momentum at Luton. I can see Lincoln emulating that.

A bit of both really, plus we’ve seemed to of brought in quantity over quality during the transfer window. Nothing I’ve seen so far suggests that our new additions are better than what we already have/had.
Early days yet and I hope I’m wrong but I would rather of kept the core of last years squad together with just 2-3 new additions in the last window.

A few months ago I thought Tranmere were a sure place for the play offs, but they suddenly couldn't win away, now they struggle at home also. They will be in the bottom half before they know it.
