It's something I have difficulty with as well, but apparently we are amongst the lowest earners in the Football league in terms of commercial revenue and matchday revenue, because we have sod all facilities outside of a football ground. This is the argument for moving to a shiny new stadium which can generate money every day of the week. But in the six months after that our turnover was nearly that alone, so we are probably looking at double that turnover now. To be fair.
We are definitely requiring more funding, that’s obvious looking at attendances alone.
I find Lincoln situation a bit bizarre, you would expect with the surge in crowds and money they could have realistically run the club sustainably and still compete at the top end of L2 but they decided to go significantly beyond that.
Still, i would have thought that with the Cowleys as managers (who have a very solid record of consistently punching above their weight) we shouldn't need to be spending quite as much as we are.
I am concerned that we are unsustainable without regular injections of cash from our board, or a Cup Run/big sale of a player. If we go up to League One, wages will increase further and there is no way our income will be able to match the increase because we already max out the ground every week.
