It's a team that's lacking motivation and leadership. I heard in the week that Cooper had a big falling out with Rueben Reid and Farrend Rawson that's split the dressing room. How true, I don't know.
I was hoping Cooper had put that sort of thing behind him, seemed like he couldn't go two months without doing something like that back in the conference days. You get the sense he gets sucked right in to a downward spiral when things don't go to plan and can't turn it around. And there's bound to be a couple of bad runs any season so lack of that ability is a real flaw.

Was at the game yesterday. Not our best performance, team coach left pretty sharpish after the game so no press I gather. Reckon they'll be in today lol.

I think we'll be alright now, Forest Green had most of the ball but never looked liked scoring, was surprised how quiet Doidge was. Just a couple more wins and a point here and there should be enough, Notts away on Saturday is still a big game though. The January signings of Piero and Aaron Collins have been a masterstroke from Jim.

Doidge is far from being the player he was last year.

Surprised you think that as from what I’ve heard we were absolute dogturd apart from the first and last 5 minutes.

I am only a fan so no badges or anything to wave about but I honestly thought you played some good stuff. Your passing to feet was slick, the running of the ball was ok but sometimes the other team on the pitch are just a tad better on the day. Maybe you had taken your foot of the pedal a bit and settled for mid table but the whole game was a good advert for league two.

Also, don't forget, Morris made a good save right at the end that would have made it 2-2 and that would have silenced some of the critics.

Grimsby were a good side.

Casey

I watched the game on ifollow (in California) and apart from the first and last six minutes we were second best for the rest of the game (as mentioned earlier by another Town fan).

Ollie Palmer is a sod, not just for scoring twice against one of his old clubs, but trying to win free kicks and penalties while being 'snide' off the ball. The fat ref was crap, but he wasn't the reason we lost, being second to every loose ball and being reactive instead of proactive did for us.

412 Town fans is a good effort too, considering it was a 'nothing game' for us.

Newport on Tuesday, Grimsby on Saturday. Two wins and who knows whether the playoffs may be attainable? Very small margin for error though

Always a side that comes out of nowhere and puts up a challenge. Seem to remember Northampton doing it years ago (09-10) but a terrible first half of the season and just running out of steam at the end cost them I think.

Next 5 are Newport, Grimsby, Cheltenham, Vale and Notts County so certainly potential for it

Ffs Swindon, we give you the answer to your defensive problems, we give you the answer to your winger/attacking problems - 2 in 2 now for Bennett & you still lose.

Nothing will get you promoted

I've still not seen Bennett in the flesh but he seems to be finding his feet after his 'lost in a garden centre' type performances where he looked like a competition winner.

Broadbent is a great capture, a solid ball playing centre back. Just what we needed.

Seemingly we were ok at Carlisle but didn't take chances when we were on top. Carlisle should have had a penalty which would have made it 2-0 and game over and we could have had a penalty towards the end but having seen it on replay, would have been very harsh on the Cumbrians.

We are playing catchup again, Stevenage tomorrow which I am going to (only 20 minutes on the train, whoopee!) but looking at the forecast there is a lot of rain and gale forced winds in store so if on, there won't be a lot of football being played! (some will say that's not unusual!)

To be fair to him, his head must be all over the place. Sold to a basket case championship side, probably sold his house etc only to be back where he started.

Against us he looked 'elsewhere'. I was surprised at how undangerous he was.

Cambridge away tomorrow, our form has took a real hit, no wins in last 4 and 3 straight defeats. Cambridge away isn't a happy hunting ground for us in recent years either, no win there since 1995, albeit we haven't faced them that many times in that time. Guessing a pretty standard 2-0 defeat and little over 100 Alex fans there to witness it.

Home to Oldham for us.

Probably without Shackell so Bolger will come in. Only real decision to make is whether to do what we did on Friday and batter the CB's up with Rhead before introducing Rowe or go with the latter from the start.

Mid-week game probably just means double the misery for us to be honest. The last game in our run of tough games; I said we needed to still be within touching distance of those above us by its end but as everyone else has picked up form, we need an unlikely win to keep us 3 pts +GD away. Hard not to say this and Saturday are "must wins," but they kinda are and we can easily be well adrift come Saturday 5pm.

Sol made 9 changes before the MK Dons games, no idea if he'll make 9 reverse changes, keep the same team, play some combination or try something entirely new and have us relying on Vincenti and Shamir Mullings.

Preston and Sweeney both out likely, which means our defence could be a shambles again.

Flitcroft has been moving Pearce to the right/left of our back three to fit in Turner but it’s been a disaster so far.

I think he needs to go for a back four, he’s a little bit keen at playing his system even if we don’t have the players.

Wasn’t at the game but have watched the Sky Football highlights package of Macclesfield’s game vs MK Dons, Nathan Cameron was solid for us but looked woeful for you guys based off of the highlights I saw, consistently behind play, slow and clumsy... would this be accurate or has he just been edited harshly?

The couple of long-term knee injuries he’s picked up over the years seem to have finished him. He was as solid as a rock for us between 2014-2016.

Its bloody windy here in London today. No rain yet but the game at Stevenage could be farcical with the wind only expected to get stronger.

Be the same countrywide I guess. Vale fans worried it will be called off based on the rainfall overnight and into today.

Overall, he's been great since joining. The major contributing factor to our improved form before christmas, and probably my player of the season despite only joining in November (though I guess the bar for that is pretty low).

I would say his impact has decreased over the last couple of months but often due to no protection in front or out wide. On Saturday he was partly responsible for the first goal, and does look a little slow in the highlights for the others (maybe he got injured again during the celebration earlier), which isn't helped by having our GK kick the ball straight to their striker, but did make several key interceptions and tackles in the first half.

As with everywhere else think the weather will have a bearing on the game, very wet here right now with gale force winds later, lovely!

Got a horrible feeling about tonight. No Sweeney/Preston apparently which means Turner who is not even close to being fit. Seen him for 90mins over 2 games so far and he’s been utter toss.

Walker back though which is a boost, We need to win. With Lincoln coming up next and MK playing away at Morecambe tonight we can’t afford to lose any ground on them.

Still can’t believe that shite we turned out on Saturday so soon after the crap at Notts.
