well you wont go bust with the 10m pay off Devonlad said you got from the watkins deal
But I didn't say that, did I buddy? I also explained very clearly, even spelt it out for the simpletons on this forum [you] how any windfalls are spent.

If we get a £3m windfall, 1/3 goes towards the academy, 1/3 to ground/infrastructure improvements and the last 1/3 (1m) would be split over 3 years towards the playing budget (An extra £333,000 per year for 3 years)

Plus, given current times it'll probably be less than that.

We're not irresponsible like you, and we don't spend money we haven't got. Remember that, when your club goes bust in a few years.

You have been out of the league and you have been in Administration did a educated person like you not know that.
Three years after today NO team is looking but to survive this season.
I have had some good banter on here but today that stops. It is what it is and i hope most will ride this out.
As Indian Dan says you do not know when a owner will just say enough is enough.
If this pandemic had come 14 months ago we would not have survived. Unless the government acts i cannot see the season being completed.

Good banter? You haven't posted anything that is of the sort. Trolling? Stupidity? Quite possibly. But good banter? Nothing. Not one of your 951 posts could be classed as 'good banter'.

Yes, we went into admin thanks to dodgy owners and now we're a fan owned club and do things the right way. Bolton? Not quite so.

We are not just looking to survive, we are quite comfortably able to survive - But you went all guns blazing signing players like Eoin Doyle (how many has he scored btw?) in a bid to get promoted that's already looking like a flop, and with no fans now being allowed back for even longer, I'd be surprised if we don't see further point deductions from yourselves and a relegation battle if the season isn't stopped.

It clearly is not getting through to you. Every club yes every club goes into administration because of dodgy owners.
We have paid decent contracts to Doyle and Sarcevic. We have sold 8000 season tickets our wage bill this year is covered by season tickets.
Points deduction......wake up the league this season will not be completed

We can genuinely afford all of those players and we will survive longer than the vast majority of clubs at this level. If you are looking for an irresponsible club, you have chosen the wrong one.
You can genuinely afford them? Where's your money coming from? Didn't realise Tranmere weren't hamstrung by capacity limitations like the rest of the entire Football League. Tranmere are red flagged as a high risk club on the Registry of Recklessness.

That's interesting - in our 133 year history we've never been in administration, so clearly not every club.

Then you have been run well and had decent owners. That can change in a whim.....Wigan a prime example
Every club is obviously those that have been in administration

I’m not privy to the financial goings on at Tranmere or any other club in this league that have not been made public. Please feel free to furnish us all with the details of our players contracts your so worried about.

The wage budget at Tranmere is covered mainly by gate receipts, isn't it? Tranmere currently receiving no gate receipts with no knowledge of when they next will. Tranmere sign Bradford's top earner and two players who were top performers from a L1 side. But yes, it's all good. There probably won't even be a second wave.

Unfortunatly that will be true of over 100 clubs right through the pyramid.
I think all these players who were holding out for more money have dropped a almighty bollock
I wonder if any deals have gone through today in lge 1 and under

As I thought, no facts to back your argument up.
Any club that doesn’t have a Dale Vince or Peter Lim is going to find it difficult to come through this epidemic unscathed.

The Authorities won't allow us to open our ground or training ground it seems, due to the outbreak in the playing squad. Our owner seems to think we initially caught it at one of our away games, so either Forest Green Rovers or Oldham - Probably from the hotel the players stayed at.

Rumours that the EFL want it played and hopefully done next week, but I think thats unlikely.

I can't see us playing again until the middle of October. Our game at Walsall Saturday will almost certainly be off as well.

We're working with the EFL and the health authorities at the moment to try and ease the problem it seems.

Wtf are you going on about it's the case for over 100 clubs? Christ you're irritating. Clearly over 100 clubs haven't been splurging out on top top players that are expensive. Most clubs have cut their player squads down, released players and massively cut their playing budget. Cod was making the point Tranmere have done the opposite. Only you and Tranmere (Not quite over 100) have done that without having a Vince type character.

I’m sorry, but you have absolutely no idea when an owner is going to say ‘enough is enough’ and pull the plug - even those with the best of intentions. And I’m not pointing the finger at your club specifically.
We can survive for twelve months with no gate income and our wage budget is significantly reduced compared to last season.

If the pandemic lasts another twelve months we would have difficulties, but so would everybody else. We are in a better position to ride this storm than most clubs at this level (recent investment, no debt, own our ground).

Oh come, don't need to facts to realise you've massively overspent given the circumstances. You'd have spent beyond your means had you been getting your average gate receipts for a full season.

I dunno if Tranmere budget is reduced or not (looking from the outside seems unlikely but I honestly don’t know enough about their squad last season) but its obviously not £1.5m

Will take a season or two before you hit that figure.
