I think that when things get back to normal and fans are allowed back again they should permanently let us still watch live matches on ifollow because I mean it's 2020 now and only being able to listen to away games on the radio is shit especially after being able to watch them live in your own living room.

Fair enough home matches should not be streamed obviously, but they should still let us watch away matches.

Im really going to miss this feature if they remove it.

How on earth does that work? Home matches shouldn't be streamed but away ones can?

It’s an interesting point though.

I know in America they used to have a blackout on sport locally if it wasn’t sold out at the ground (so if the New York Yankees were at home but hadn’t sold out then their game couldn’t be shown live in New York, but it would be shown in the rest of the country for example).

Something like that would be ideal but I don’t see how it’s possible in the days of the internet, unless you do something like only allowing season ticket holders for the away team being able to buy the stream. It’d be open to abuse of course but could work I guess.

Because not many fans would go to the home games if they can spend less and watch it at home, the club would make hardly any money.

Our owners have said they've been thinking on similar lines - They want to sell a stream of each of our home games for £10 to all supporters. According to their stats last year we had around 4k season ticket holders and around 15% don't turn up to each home game.

The idea is that those that can't attend on the day for whatever reason - Still get the chance to watch the actual game from wherever they are on their phone or tablet etc. As you say, we're in the 21st centuary now and surely we can move away from radio a bit and provide the full actual match using the technology we have.

Those who go to the games will always go, I personally think its worth a go for a season to see how it goes.

Hmm...our Council actually requested to be moved to tier 2 so they could access more funding. Let's hope we're not in tier 3 when we're out of lockdown!

Our game with Orient randomly moved to a 1pm kick off at the weekend.

Great Wakering Rovers more like (love that name, say it like Porky Pig)

Joking aside; is there still no light at the end of the tunnel? Has your owner not decided it is easier if you pay the bills before you get taken to court?

Casey

We still have a transfer embargo in place even though some of the debts have been paid off.

Our Embargo lasts until May next year. Two years in total even though our owners have never failed to make a payment.
You can still get players in, just no fees transfer or agent fees to be paid.

We brought in Sarcevic and Doyle on those conditions

Jabo has retired.
11 different clubs.

Was so highly rated here when he first burst onto the scene with us back in 2000, but injuries ruined him and took their toll on him after he broke through. He was once very, very quick but a year long injury from November 2004-September 2005 meant he ended up changing his all round game and he became more of a targetman.

Served the lower leagues well!

BBC Cumbria have already booked him to join as a summariser for the FGR game.

In fairness they may have booked him before he announced his retirement as he has been without a club this season.

Grimsby fans must be slightly concerned at who attended their game yesterday?

He's been trying to find someone stupid enough to allow him in 'invest' in their Club for ages. This is the guy who, when trying to get his foot in the door at Notts County, told everyone he had a hand at Lincoln and Darlington previously only for both Club's to ask who the hell he was.

A guy called Alex May, which isn't his birth name because he changed it.

Because of the link, it seems Fenty has jumped from his Councillor position before he was pushed from it. All very weird.

No matter how much of a shitshow we are, Grimsby will always go one better.

I am so glad they are our rivals.

I've seen two statements from Holloway yesterday. One from his Twitter, basically telling Fenty and Shutes to sort themselves out and stop playing politics with the Club and there was another where he seemed to indicate he's backing Fenty.

Shutes and Fenty seem to have been posturing with each other for years now.

I quite liked his tweets tbh, IMO you can see he is clearly dedicated to the job. But on the other hand, he is basically saying he is now managing a huge mess behind the scenes.

Big gamble on how his bosses will react to that too.

Yeah fair play to him for sticking his head above the parapet. I don't think any Grimsby fan would argue against what he's done or put.
