You’ve lost all 4 league meetings with Harrogate.

Ah good point.

Weve beaten Chelsea as recently as 2015, but we cant beat our local Betty's teaboys.

Our kids used to beat them in pre season friendlies nearly every year though can I not count that please!

Lincoln is four times the size of Scunthorpe, we don't have the potential to grow like they did
Really? How small is Scunthorpe? I think Lincoln itself is around 100,000, including North Hykeham etc and its up to around 130,000. Add the surrounding villages in the vicinity and it'll be a good amount more.

I was thinking of Hull being four times the size, not Lincoln no idea what I was on about.

Aye, going to our game there on Easter Monday with some mates who live in Manchester. Our train gets us to Piccadilly, then apparently a tram from there can only get you to within half an hour's walk of the ground. Not so bad if you're stopping in a couple of pubs en route but a pain all the same.

I'd suggest getting a tram from Piccadilly to victoria station and from there grabbing a train to Rochdale.

The tram takes a long time because it goes all the way across to oldham, up and around then onto Rochdale so is a long trek.

There are usually trains every 30 minutes from victoria, normally I think to Leeds which stop at Rochdale and take 10 minutes to get there as only stop 1-2 times on the way.

Station is about 10 minute walk to the town centre, but there is a tram stop outside can take you to the town centre in 5 minutes.

Best bet to ground is going to the bus station (Tram stop ends at the bus station) and there are afew buses take you near the ground, although I don't find it that much a walk from town centre.

the only downfall of the train route is this form of cancellations that pop up here and there.

Scunny is around 80,000 I think. Catchment areas all of North Lincs and the bordering areas.

Plus Lincoln can draw fans from Newark and Sleaford - both expanding Towns. Barton and Brigg went over to Hull City when they got into the top flight, Gainsborough is a mix of us and you, Louth/Market Rasen/Caistor You and GY.

maybe it is an unlucky route and be avoided as me and my dad did that route when it got postponed earlier in season!

Its planes, trains and automobiles whatever way you do it, but now living in manchester find train much quicker than tram if you get the times right, Trams are very regular so easier for people to catch if you dont know area, but can take as long as going on the bus.

The number 17 bus from shudehill (manchester bus station....can get tram to it) gets to Rochdale directly, but it takes a good 45 minutes to an hour.

We've already done Rochdale this season Big Dave but thanks for the info all the same - one to keep in mind if we are still somehow here next season.

Bit of good news. Tomlinson and Barry back for tomorrow and McKirdy should be OK soon - injury not season ending.

Dale Vince, Chairman of FGR has just announced that he is selling his electricity business.
He says he plans to go into politics.
His firm Ecotricity funded FGR big time especially when in the Conference and FGR were labelled 'Moneybags'.
It will be interesting to watch how events unfold for the football club. They might even make quick return to non-league.

He just doesnt have the energy to go on. Which is surprising cause he generates enough wind to power a small town himself.

Matty Stevens' injury turned out to be his cruciate and he's out for the rest of the season, poor bugger. His understudy March has looked handy but obviously not had Matty's knack of burying the chances and being there for the tap-ins yet.

It'll be tough, and it's bad news, but not disastrous for the team's prospects. The other issue is that Matt has looked a bit off the boil (tired out, no doubt, given he's played pretty much every game for 90 minutes) for the last couple of months.

Some of our other goal scorers have really started to warm up as the season has gone on though - Aitchinson most obviously, but some kind of rethink may be required.

Dawson, Garrity, Pinnock and Sotoriou nominated for player of the month. Surprised they have chosen Dawson rather than Stubbs, who's been immense.

Barton, Bowyer, Simpson and Taylor for Manager of the month. Let's hope its Simpson and he's given it before the game on Saturday.

Salford have released their 20/21 accounts. For every £100 of income there is £143 spent on Wages.

I know that that seems to be how football goes, but it's shit having teams like Salford in the league whilst more interesting clubs like Wrexham, Notts County, Chesterfield, York, Stockport etc languish in the National league.

Always considered the player of the month award a who scored the most goals award so expect it to go to Sotoriou which is fair enough. Really pleased for Garrity getting some recognition being nominated though. Our midfield with him and Charsley running round non-stop and Pett or Walker pulling the strings behind is proving a nightmare for L2 teams.

Stunned Crosby isn't in for manager of the month with our form and results during March!

FGR's outstanding candidate for Player of Year is Matty Stevens.
Alas he is out of football for next 12 months with an ACL.
One wonders if another FGR player will win award in a month's time when the poll is opened.
Some years ago Ethan Pinnock [now playing in Premiership with Brentford] was also the outstanding candidate for same award and like Matty was injured at time of poll and sadly failed to win it.
Supporters, it seems, have short memories.
