I've seen the Wright red, and I have no arguments. Some are saying he's looking to shield the ball, but his arm is clearly in the Mansfield player's face.

I'll wait to see Taylor Moore's. An elbow from him surprises me though - he's always struck me as too lightweight at times, and almost scared to make a hard tackle, so to actually elbow someone goes against anything I've seen from him before. Wright on the other hand has form in this area.

Wright shouldn't be in the football league, absolute thug.

Other Red was a clear red from my view but the lad did apologise to Rose after so I don't think he fully meant it.

First post on here so go easy! My view is Cheltenham can’t really have any arguments with today, kind of got what they deserved for me, can only go off today so not sure if you normally play this way? But that was bad, really bad. Time wasting from 1st minute, bookings for diving in area, feigning injury, 2 elbows which looked the right decision on both, and you’re manager slagging our player off for getting elbowed in the face, then shoving Raynor for telling him to do one, apart from that I thought you were a pretty fair and sporting team!
And believe me I’m not a biased fan, if Mansfield are shite or cheat I will admit it, no problems with that. But like I say would normally feel for a team losing so late in the game, but not today sorry.

Is it looking likely that Eisa will be out for next weekend's game?

I'm annoyed that more of your team didn't get suspended - need all the help we can get.

Is James McKeown able to walk yet after Wright's vicious stamp 2 years ago?
Is Harry Pell able to walk yet?

The amount of time he spends on the deck I presume he's got some sort of brittle bone disease in his legs.

Wow. Robbed of a point but Otis has fucked his career with that. Unbelievable that we've conceded in the last 3 minutes in each of our last 5 games.

Looked like a bit of luck went our way finally. That was a blatant shirt pull in the lead up to the winner, but the ref inexplicably waved play on.

Home win then backed up with an away win for the first time in yonks.

He barged the ref apparently? Long ban for that I would think. Crazy thing to do, especially with the United coming up. The positive for you lot might be that will probably put clubs off signing him this January, so you might have him back for the run-in.

Spends so long on the floor it's a wonder he manages to score against Grimsby so often.

Having seen the highlights last night, I'm still not convinced by Taylor Moore's red card, but then it's not the clearest angle from the footage, so will just have to take it on the chin.

Regardless of what Johnson is saying to the Mansfield player, the Mansfield management should not be encroaching into our technical area, let alone storming into it - the fact that Johnson is the only one sent to the stands (and I accept that by pushing Raynor then he deserves that) is what has got a lot of Cheltenham fans het up and also sums up where Johnson is coming from in his interview.

I've already said that Wright's was a red.

I won't comment on anything else, as I wasn't there. I'm not even sure what player "dived" in the first 5 mins, although Johnson does make reference to it in his interview and if what he says was right, when have you ever seen a player dive in the middle of the pitch?

I think Martin summed that up in his stagsnet report.

“On 5 minutes. Morrell was booked for a dive 40 yards from goal. Morrell didn’t complain but bizarrely Cheltenham manager Gary Johnson seemed to be claiming after the game that this indicated that the referee had a poor game, when he said “In my opinion the FA have got to look at that as a whole game today. Have you ever seen someone booked for diving in the middle of the pitch in the first five minutes of a game? I felt the referee started off on the wrong foot and couldn’t get a grip of the game from thereon.” Nonsensical comments from a manager who lost the plot today.”

Gary Johnson seems to always be revered as this really good bloke yet for years he has sent out a team that is well known for diving, stamping, elbowing, time wasting etc etc.

A team takes direction from the man at the top. If he wanted to stop it he could, what does that tell you about the man??

Tbh I genuinely can't remember our fans booing a team (what was left of them) off a pitch even when we've won - literally everyone was spitting feathers and swear words were aplenty. If Gary Johnson wants the fa to look at the game I would be worried, Cheltenham would probably have a deserved fine for that shambles.

Maybe the Cheltenham fans who went don't go to many games, as if that was Mansfield who played like that I'd be critiquing them right left and centre.

In all the years he was at Yeovil we were never a dirty team. He is a really nice guy as well.

Blatant shirt pull but the Yeovil player needs to play to the whistle, he still had the ball and looked like he didn't need to stop. Hate it when players do that.

Johnson moans about Evans/Raynors touchline antics yet he’s been sent off against us twice in 3 games now.

Fair enough. Maybe he had a better team with you and therefore his sides didn’t need to revert to these kind of tactics.

Or maybe age has embittered him. I know it has me!

It looked a foul, but you've seen them not given. The guy just stopped though. He felt the tug and just stopped dead, I think trying to force the ref to give it. You can't do that, you've got to play to the whistle. It was poor by the lad. The bigger problem was probably that keeper rushing out like that when there was a defender there! Dennis almost certainly doesn't score if he stays in his net there

Otis has issued an apology which i'm sure is genuine but it's clearly because he's crapping himself at the thought of missing out playing against Man Utd. Also i'm 100% sure I will never hear the words "Mr Johnson, I am deeply sorry for falling into you" said again by a professional footballer.

Agreed. Deffo a shirt pull, and a pretty obvious one at that, but it looks like the ref decided to give Khan/Yeovil the advantage - it wasn't the ref's fault the lad just gave up running. Re. their keeper, yeah he shouldn't have done that. He just made it so much easier for Dennis to score.

Our fans are absolutely slating Khan on twitter. Quite right too, he's shown his priorities and true feelings. I just hope we get a good price for him.

That's the frustrating thing for me whenever we come up against Pell, he's a quality player or certainly whenever he plays against Grimsby he is so there's no need for the constant diving as he's good enough at what he does to not have to revert to that yet he still does it.
Slightly similar to Dembele for us in the fact that he likes to play act to try and get players sent off, he did it against FGR and rightly got a yellow card for it and I was pleased as he deserved it.
The difference being that when Dembele does it I will be honest about it and say it's wrong and he needs to stamp it out of his game, whereas you won't accept that about any of your angelic players like Pell and that scumbag Danny Wright.

I have genuinely never seen Pell as a diver. The only time I vividly remember him doing it was last season at home to Colchester, when I completely slated him for it. I deplore diving personally, and I called our new lad (Adebayo) up for it when he did it right in front of me twice last week.

I have never defended Wright - called his red yesterday as a deserved and fully admitted he deserved his 3 game ban for the step on McKeown's backside. I've only ever mocked your over-reactions over the "stamp" because the way a lot of you Grimsby fans went on anyone would think he tried to kill McKeown.

Minutes in which we have conceded a goal during the last 4 league games:
85,92
98
86
93

Yet our manager says we now have better 'game management' :2thumb:

Well you thought we'd get a tonking, and we didn't, so that's something, even managed a clean sheet without Clint Hill.

We're just taking it easy for a few weeks while we conserve energy for a full on assault of 12th place in March.

Clint Hill played the whole match. At least with him we have a competent defence. 3 clean sheets in a row with Hill in the team.

It’s the other end that is embarrassingly shit. 2 goals scored in our last 6 matches, and one of those was a penalty, so only one from open play. I cannot think of a season where we’ve had such a diabolical set of forwards. If we sorted this we’d have a chance, but we won’t.

Its why people like myself, cufc17 and many others have become so bored with CUFC.

Obvious shirt pull for Chesterfield's winner but the ref can't see that.

How Yeovil have been beaten by such an easy straight ball over the top and leave it one-on-one at the back I don't know. There are three there, but for some reason two are in front of the player. Surely two behind and one in front would make sense?!

We panic in the dying stages of matches. It's shown by the fact we've conceded so late on in each of the last 4 league games. It comes from the manager ultimately.

We should have won on Saturday but we've said that so many times this season. The cherry on the shitcake was Khan getting himself sent off for barging the ref then trying to apologise.and beg for forgiveness so he doesn't get banned for the Man Utd game. Really embarrassing.

So we did... I was following the match from a train to Manchester with poor 4G so it escaped my attention, I just remembered him being a doubt.

The diving is ridiculous in this league. It's obvious that one of the main tactics that a lot of team employ away from home is to try and win as many set pieces as possible while also trying to slow the game down. It's never obvious diving, just countless occasions of players hitting the floor the second they feel a touch in order to win a free kick 30 yards out from goal. The referees at this level do an awful job at cutting it out, it's very frustrating to watch.
