Perhaps it isn't fully relevant to League Two, but as he was in this league before, what are peoples thoughts on Joey Barton going full misogynist last night and today?

Hopefully his outdated and horrific opinions should be doing enough to make him utterly unemployable in football ever again. Well, here's hoping anyway. What a horrible scumbag he truly is.

Definitely doing a Russell Brand - there’s something major to come out about Barton, so he’s pandering to a certain type of person, setting up a podcast and building an online following so when the scandal drops he’s got a fanbase of nut jobs to fall back on.

Yeah Barton is a bigger tosser than Paul Mullin. He does not come across well in his book and neither did Barton for that matter

What is it about Grimsby? Boris Johnson isn't even their worst alleged political fan.
There's the (admittedly, entirely untrue) story of War Criminal Henry Kissinger being a Grimsby fan after Tony Crossland took him to a game, as repeated here in The Guardian just last week.

Again, and I can't stress this enough, despite it being widely believed, absolute BS. (briefly, Crossland made Kissenger meet him miles outside London so he (Crossland) had time to get to a Grimsby match.)

Any other evil Grimsby fans, real or fictional?
Norman Lamont - bought a copy of Sing When We’re Fishing from me outside the ground. I hope he thought he was buying a programme and felt ripped off…

My theory is that it’s a badge of honour for BJ - Grimsby is the exemplar Red-wall seat win, been Labour since 45.

Are there any Labour MPs today who would claim to be fans of Grimsby? (or indeed, be able to find Grimsby on a map?).

It sometimes appears that it's all Arsenal Arsenal Arsenal these days in such esteemed circles., although I might expect Lisa Nandy to put in a word for Wigan Athletic.

Gateshead MP Ian Mearns (Labour), a season ticket holder at St James’ Park,

I don’t think it means a STH at Exeter City.

Before our new owners came the most famous Wrexham fans were Tim Vincent, Paul Burrell (Diana's ex Butler) and Ricky Tomlinson, who is at least better than the other two.

Now it's the guy who plays Negan in The Walking Dead.

Which is why BJ’s PR advisor has probably told him to carry on wearing the GTFC hat…

I’ll have to tune to Alistair Campbell (Burnley fan - proper one unlike Blair, pretend Newcastle fan) on the Rest is Politics with Rory Stewart (doesn’t like football) to see if they mention it. David Yelland will probably mention it - Radio 4 programme on PR - When It Hits The Fan, he went to Brigg Grammar School in North Lincs (some really great people went to that school…)

I think the Hitler Liverpool thing came about because his sister in law lived in Liverpool for a while (and during the war) and he lived there in 1912-1913.

Osma Bin Laden was a Arsenal fan. One more reason to dislike them.

Casey

Edit, Don't know of any famous Crawley Town fans. Waiting for someone to cross out part of that sentence.

Ex-Football Focus presenter Dan Walker is a Crawley fan I thought

Yeah, Bridget Hitler I believe. There's also the story that Adolf absolutely fell in love with Rochdale town hall, and factored plans into his proposed invasion of Britain to have it shipped off to Bavaria brick by brick. I played a gig in there once, he maybe had a point...

I know the Cure are from Crawley, but I'm not sure how into football goths are allowed to be.

I forgot Dan Walker. He has been coming since he was a nipper.

Paul Smith is a QPR fan if I recall correctly. No idea about the rest.

AFAIK Zayn Malik is the most famous Bradford City fan.
Googled it and apparently Gareth Gates as well.
Our own unlikely disreputable supporter seems to be the Dalai Lama.

Dalai Lama is clearly a massive fan. He wears our colours all the time.

I don't think we have any well known villains who support us although phone hacker Glenn Mulcaire played in our first pre season games as AFC Wimbledon and scored our first goal as a reformed club.

Well known supporters -

Actor Alun Armstrong and his three sons who I think are all performers of some description.

Actor Sam West (son of Timothy West and Prunella Scales).

Comedians Geoff Norcott and Mark Thomas. Mel Giedroyc was a Wimbledon FC supporter and is believed to have transferred her allegiance to us.

Singer Jamie T, at least two from Mumford and Sons and J Wilgoose esq from Public Service Broadcasting.

June Whitfield was president of the WFC supporters association but it's believed that she lost interest after her husband died.

My MP Siobhain McDonagh is a long term season ticket holder.

Did I read at one time that a member of the A Team (not BA Baracus) financially invested in FGR.
And that sex author Jilly Cooper is a season ticket holder.
