I think more new owners have realised that coming in and waving a big wallet around just to immediately start splashing out on big wages and transfer fees while ignoring the leaky foundations of a club just doesn't work and does more harm than good. They have to begin with building from the ground up and have patience.

Anyone remember George Reynolds the criminal owner of Darlington FC in the noughties? He took them over and had a 25,000 all seater stadium built for a club with average attendances of just 4000 and it obviously ended very badly for them.
Getting similar thoughts on the proposed 60,000 seater stadium at Blues. 60,000 seats for a possible league one side..

Hannah Dingley, who briefly got media spotlight for being our interim manager for two weeks during pre-season has left her role with our academy for a job with the Irish FA.

"for domestic viewers" is the key thing here. If you're VPN or dodgy stick crew then no change.

Feels like this was a good year to get promoted? Potentially a few quid for each team, if divied up fairly?

I follow only show non Saturday games to UK viewers, this is the same.

All opening and final day fixtures and all midweek EFL, and bank holiday games/international weekends will be shown live and 5 weekends games for lge 1/ lge 2. As well as carabao cup, EFL cup and play offs.

So apart from having to pay for sky instead of I follow those not using a VPN will potentially have more games to watch on TV.

Probably means some moving of fixtures though as the 3pm Saturday blackout remains so if they are showing 5 games every weekend that's 5 fixtures not being at 3pm between lge 1 and 2!

We're down the bottom of this list with our £52k spend, which had us 4th in the NL. Really shows the difference in spending between the levels.
Meanwhile York City outspent plenty of clubs at this level with their £129k outlay (Highest in the NL of course)… and look where that’s got them!

Notice Forest Green one of the biggest spenders on agent fees in the division & it’s been a similar story for them as it has York in the division below.

Absolutely, I mean Crewe, 20k(!) comfortable playoff spot. It can be done. York eye watering levels of cash thrown about. That fat CB they signed for 6 figures. Dipo the striker, a quart of a mil. OK he's decent, but shit.

We've signed over 30 players in that time, and gone through 4 managers inc Duncan Ferguson & Troy Deeney who won't have been cheap to negotiate with. Also sacked 2 DoF's and most of our recruitment staff. Basically our transfer strategy has been a disaster, so not surprised it's cost so much in agents fees.

As always, we've spent the lowest. Our club's belief in not paying Agent's Fees has always been a good one.

I thought York were still Trust owned after McGill left? I'm assuming not with those agent fees, mind!

It’s all basically a tax fiddle so there’s not much to take the moral high ground on. Other than the general principle of lower agent fees signal lower budget etc… as the two are highly correlated. Clubs basically pay agents on the players’ behalf these days, it gets taxed as a benefit in kind for the player and the club can claim VAT back on it. I think people wrongly assume agent fees are ‘sweeteners’ to get players to sign but that’s not the case really.

The money still goes to the agent unless you’re signing players without representation contracts, the club/player/agent have just found a way to make the system work for them until it all gets capped and/or scrapped very soon because it’s all just one big tax avoidance racket

Alassana Jatta wins the PFA League Two Player of the Month for March.

Looks a good prospect and has certainly taken to English football very well. Signed with next season in mind the Gambian Prince sure has impressed so far with 5 goals and 2 assists in 10 appearances for the big man.

Never understand these post Brexit rules on signing overseas players. I mean Jatta has gone from not even being allowed to travel here with his Danish club to being able to sign for and play every week for a League 2 club. How did Notts get permission to sign him?

They changed the rules again last summer - the EFL can now sponsor the visa applications for two (or possibly three, can't remember) overseas players for each club.

Yeah it changed, and I think as part of the change you've got to play the overseas player in a certain % of games he's available for as well otherwise the Club have their quota lowered or something.

No replays in the FA cup from next season it seems as expected probably.
But even in Round 1 and 2.

Absolute disgrace but hardly surprising. The FA are spineless quisling rats who bend over backwards time and time again for the Prem. The likes of Klopp and Pep are a fucking joke complaining about fixture congestion constantly in the media. The pundits need to be piping up here making a fuss.
