I’m just shocked Mark Hughes isn’t on the shortlist.
Parkinson made a late run for it

Graham Alexander should get it. Done a turnaround job at two clubs this season, making both sides worse than they were under previous guidance. That takes skill.
Many a word spoken in jest........Alexander is the reason you haven't won the title. The Wimbledon fans are busy drawing up plans for a statue.
They should steal him off us, then they can have the real thing instead which is much better. He’d suit their team, they seemed a bunch of rugby players when we played them anyway, right up his street.Alexander is the reason you haven't won the title. Jones a good example of the futility of individual awards in football really. He’s obliterated the record for assists in a season in English football, he kind of has to win it. But he’s also part of a team that’s been shambolic for quite a lot of the season.
That Crowley and Langstaff could easily have been nominated as well just shows how completely bizarre our season has been.
Think Max Cleworth should've been in with a shout for young player, he's been phenomenal. I don't think any of ours have been consistently good enough to win the top award. Hard to see past Jodi Jones taking it, as shite as Notts have been. I don't think I've ever seen an assists tally like his.Elliot Lee! He's been terrible since January. Wouldn't even nominate him for Wrexham player of the season.
Pete Wild should be on there I'd say as should be Matt Smith.
Of course EnglishRed posts a Notts County board update on a Friday night Standard.
Why wouldn't he?
Because we're not a BIG club probably but look at what most proper fans are saying compared to the official short list....says it all really. As others have said, considering pre-season predictions and where we are now, it's amazing Scott Lindsey hasn't made the list.
Who has bigger budgets than you lot? I saw some eye watering numbers from Wrexham and Stockports accounts from last year so assume those two but wouldn’t have had many more above you (MK maybe)The crawley manager should get it.
Though if with a budget of 7th/8th in the league if clough gets mansfield up over the heavyweights in the league it would be a great achievement
Will it resemble a carthorse? The other Wimbledon fans are drawing up one for sir 900+ games for one club Dean Lewington.
I saw it on twitter, thought it was on general interest to the league? It could have been Colchester or Sutton or Walsall. or anyone, but no it's Notts claiming that actually they are having a better season than their league position suggests and it isn't their defensive players to blame.
"However, they do clearly show that our performances have been good enough to earn a league position significantly better than the 16th place we currently find ourselves in, and we must therefore take this information into consideration when planning for the immediate future.
The metrics also show that our performance levels haven't changed significantly over the season. This may seem counter-intuitive, given the bad results we’ve experienced since the turn of the year, but we haven't been significantly outplayed by any team in that time and have generally created at least as many, and in some cases more, high-quality goalscoring opportunities than our opponents.
Due to the huge amount of luck and variance in results, we always try to look at the bigger picture. Many games have been lost due to fine margins and could easily have gone the other way."
It’s basically true, but god could they have worded it better.
It's also basically what Artell says in every single interview and we're absolutely fucking rubbish. It’s basically true, but god could they have worded it better.

In fairness to the xG statistic, Foster couldn't dive so every shot on target resulted in a goal.At the start of the season when we were letting huge numbers of goals in our xG against was comparable with loads of clubs conceding far less. But we were still letting the goals in, so it was a meaningless metric. Probably some use for data analysis internally but not much help for the fans.
I’d guess MK and Gillingham but that’s only because MK always have a huge budget whenever in this league and Gillingham got bought out by rich owners.Who has bigger budgets than you lot? What sort of figures are we talking? Ours is £2.1m from our chairman’s podcast and 3rd biggest in NL according to the Dorking chairman so we might need real investment to compete with some of the numbers banded about on social media
