Surprised how poor Lincoln were yesterday. For such a formidable side who have made Sincil Bank a fortress since the Cowley's took over, I can't believe how we seemed to beat them with relevant ease. Very one-dimensional style of play and they're the only side I've seen other than us who can't execute a simple kick off properly. I can see why they're dangerous, their movement from free kicks causes huge problems for sides, especially sides with woeful defensive records, and that's why they're so high up the league because they capitalise upon the oppositions disorganisation in those positions far too efficiently usually.

Very pleased with us for playing it on the deck and not playing it into Lincoln's hands, the work rate of all our players more than matched Lincoln and stellar performances from Bowery, Miller, Green, Pickering and Ng coupled with solid defensive work meant we were great value for the win. Also great to come back from 1-0 down and get a result, something we haven't done for a very long time!

Forest Green at home is huge next week and we need to stop losing every following game after a positive result, if we beat FGR we can start looking up the league table. People are saying low 40s is enough to survive but I vehemently disagree. I want us to hit 50 points asap to be absolutely sure of survival because we saw what Newport did when they looked dead and buried last March...
I'd echo most of this.

I felt we'd done ok in the first half, hadn't created much but played well enough to maybe deserve the leveller when it came. What a hit from Pickering, insert a "if that was Messi they'd be talking about if for weeks" cliche here. 2nd half we just took over, didn't feel like domination at the time but when you watch it back it was. Bowery should have scored straight after the kick off, then he ends his 3 1/2 month goal drought with a finish of a 20 goal striker minutes later. Ng almost scores a 30 yard screamer, Miller wins a penalty and Green fires in it shortly after. Then we score a great counter attack goal, with Bowery again showing great composure to just lob it over the keeper.

We just saw it out after that, closest Lincoln came was a Palmer effort which went just over the bar, barely gave them a sniff. Funniest bit of the day for me was the kids in the singing section giving shit to some fans who left following the 4th goal, you could see words being exchanged. You can't blame those that left early, most of them probably weren't going 2 years ago, they only turned up once their team was winning and won't stick around if that doesn't continue.

Didn't look like too many, relative to the attendance, left early but it's difficult to tell when you're in amongst it.

A steward got ejected apparently.

Looks like next weekend could well be a total write off for most if not all games due to weather.

Some of your fans started leaving at 2-1 to us at your place I seem remember from what our commentators were saying....
I stopped til the end, too cold to move! Granted I miss a fair of the game in the family section as people seem to be up and down constantly going to the food outlets, toilets or just stood in aisle having a chat... So was easier to wait til full time.

We remain optimistic - we've had the covers on since before the weekend and a bit of snow tomorrow and Tuesday should provide more insulation. Just need to get the surrounding approaches well salted on Friday and hope the forecast rise in temperatures is accurate. Plenty of room to pile any snow in front of the South Stand.

We're expecting to give you a game and score the odd goal but go down fighting, by the way.

Not only that but he said they would probably win the league by the end of March.

So where is the little twat now?

Lincoln maybe wouldn't be so shit at home if they stopped playing that fucking air raid horn after their corners, so embarassing like and that feature just has Non-league minnows written all over it.

So shit at home that we've only lost 3 of the last 46- as for the air-raid siren, as long as it winds people up, we'll keep using it

You were surprised- I think the entire home end was pretty bloody shocked too, particularly 2nd half.

However, never, ever, heard the entire ground sing "City til I die" when 4-1 down at home- applauded the players off at the end. Been building up to this result since New Years Day loss at Luton however Crewe played very well, high pressing game, forced errors and took their chances. Credit where it is due.

Next 2 weeks with 3 away games (2 relatively local derbies too) will determine what our season will look like- starting at the Ricoh this weekend with around 4,000 Imp fans making some noise

Clearly felt the need to post something though- we know it gets people. We know singing for 90 minutes gets people too (look forward to Carlisle away to hear the home crowd....shhhh).

Im less confident, 3-4 days of not going much above zero plus minus 5 at night sounds like a recipe for plenty of frozen pitches.

At least we don't embarass ourselves up here with shitty ideas.

How fucking lame though is that siren.

You really mention the siren a lot- must have got under your skin at the Bank- let's see if we can get it into Brunton park.....

You do know you were formed in 1884, right? Not 2016!

Yep and going to enjoy every single second of the current journey- after 35 years of (predominantly) under achieving, limited success and average crowds, it is a refreshing change to have something which is more than just football.

May only last for a few seasons but I'm going to enjoy it while it lasts

Nice easy 1-0 win yesterday and we could of had more and for us to do the double over a team 2 seasons in a row is unheard of.

I feel sorry for Yeovil because sinking so low as to having someone like us as a bogey team means things must be really depressing down there.

Yes. Yes they are.

You missed the vast majority still supporting the team at 1-4 down then. I’d take a few plastic fans over enabling paedophiles on an industrial scale.

A few?! It was 50% of the support there! 2 years ago you were getting 2,500 in the conference, now you're drawing 8,500 every week? That's some of the best bandwagoning I've ever seen.

2500 is generous.

Hope Lincoln keep some of them mind, Mansfield are slowly getting more fans back/new fan in.

There’s plenty of ‘em about but it’s difficult getting them in at £20 quid a pop.

I accept from the corner plot the view is pretty crap (which is why we give you there to sit) and a full stadium is not something you are used to but, sitting in the Stacey West, about 10 left at 4-1. 50%- do me a favour. Best team won on the day unequivocally- just leave it there

You've got a good catchment area so some success and some fans will stick- but don't disagree with £20 a pop (same price for "on the day" at Lincoln).

Well our Checkatrade semi final tonight has been called off. Probably a good thing as we've got 5 players out injured - all 5 bizarrely with knee injuries.

You reckon half the home support walked out early on Saturday? Ok then, I’ll think we’ll leave it there as there’s no reasoning with that utter bullsh1t. Congrats on your win, fully deserved.

No, I was responding to your assertion that there were 'a few' plastic fans there, when there were way more. I never said 50% walked out.

A few hundred left at 1-4 and more gradually left during the final 5 minutes and injury time.
As said before your fans started leaving at 1-2 when we won at yours.
