Does anyone know what sort of dates March SkySports fixtures will be announced ?

Me and a few want to do Walsall away but i think it could get moved , it's on 8th March
I read the other day and basically it becomes a four week rolling announcement so each weekend is decided 4 weeks before and communicated to fans a few days later… essentially looks as though about 3 weeks notice or so if I read it correctly.

Tranmere away has now been moved to 12:30 kickoff for TV coverage on 1st March. Is there any of our more popular fixtures these twats won’t move ffs?

Poor that again, arguably our biggest four home games in terms of away support have moved (Doncaster, Walsall, Notts County, Crewe) and Away trip to Tranmere... fully expect Crewe A and Walsall A to be bumped to a Thursday night or something!

Get used to late announcements now. They are being done on a 4 week rolling basis, so the 1st March TV picks have been made now. Next week, March 8th will get chosen and so on. I deliberately haven't bought any away tickets beyond February for this reason.

Also having legends match for the main occasion, all said though no one is actually 100% sure if we were formed in 1876 or even how we formed!

We have a similar issue - in 1992 we celebrated our centenary. Then in 2007 we uncovered a newspaper cutting which seemed to show that we were formed in 1887, so we celebrated our 125th anniversary in 2012. Then just before Christmas last year further research has stumbled across detail that we may have been formed in 1884.
MK dons fans have the same problem, they don’t know whether they were formed in 2004 or 1889.

Carol has today confirmed our sponsorship with Carols own company will cease in the summer (Synectic Solutions) but as it is the 150th anniversary next season we will have no shirt sponsor next season as part of the retro kit designs.

I know it's been discussed on here many times before, but this time there seems to be a more high profile, organized effort by the National League to make this happen.

Personally, I'm all for it. Yes, it increases the risk of dropping into the financial black hole that is the NL, but it also increases the chances of coming back up and not getting stuck at the bottleneck at the top.

Although I do also think there should be a universal 3 up, 3 down standard applied to all divisions. It's nice having 4 promotion spots in L2, but I don't know why it's the only league that does.

Thoughts?

Although it might work in TRFCs favour if the wealthy Americans do takeover, but we drop out of the FL, I have reservations. If the NL commit to similar financial control as operates in the FL, I would be more supportive.

It's a hangover from the old 3rd Division N/S isn't it? 2 up from each division then when Division 3 and Division 4 came in it just stuck.

I've nailed my colours to this mast a million times now, and fully accept I'm in the minority, but it should go back to 1 up/1 down.

Apart from anything else them colluding with the PL over FA Cup replays won’t have helped their cause.

My view on it has always been for it to happen they need to align their rules to the EFL i.e. same spending limits and also no plastic pitches.

I think a standard three up, three down across all divisions would be a good thing.

I do also like the National league play off system- gets more teams involved.

I don't mind it, but not sure if the EFL clubs will vote for it (Turkeys voting for Christmas almost).

Do think you'd need to revert to standard Play Off system though as you'd have clubs as low as 8th potentially going up and would need to see the financial system in line with the EFL.

Would keep the 4 up/4 down from L1/L2 though because the gap is smaller between the divisions and keeps that a bit more interesting.

I've suggested before NLP becoming League Three in the EFL pyramid so not going to go over that again but would solve the regulations ruling etc.

Said it before but until the NL fall in line with the EFL when it comes to cost controls (and I use that term loosely, but they're better than the current zero controls in the NL), then it's a non-starter anyway, even if EFL sides agree to it, which I doubt they will.

Up to this point, they've refused to change their lack of cost controls and that isn't helping their cause.

Not sure I'm fully behind three up, three down (and I wasn't when we were in the NL) but I do agree with changing the promotion/relegation spots so it's consistent through the leagues.

Long overdue. Love the playoff format of the National League and should be a total of 3 up.
100% agree on the play off format.

Two legged ties are quite boring, first leg is usually a waste of time. Just cut to the chase with one leg.

I’m not sure on the whole.

I e part of me says in the last 20 years most sides have come up and done better than the sides who constantly stumbled around div 4/3/l2

On other hand I as a northern club fan have watch clubs over the years clubs who would bring 500-1000 away fans and clubs getting 2-3,000 home fans to clubs who bring 100 away fans and smaller crowds

It's always been a yes from me to 3 up 3 down. It's nothing to do with this club might come up or this club might come down, it's just logical in the flow of the pyramid to be 3 up 3 down.
