I see absolutely no problem with players managers or fans celebrating, opposition or my own. Hughes was just in a mardy because he dunno how to get his team to hold on to the lead, that’s his issue.

Nothing to do with aggression, but whether it’s Clough or Hughes giving it the big I am in front of a bunch of little kids sets a bad example and is quite pathetic from men of nearly 60 years of age. But we obviously won’t agree so I’ll leave it there.

Nobody gave a big I am in front of anyone yesterday, they just celebrated a goal, nothing was aimed at the little kids in the stand or any fans, it was about celebrating his own team scoring - completely different things.

It looked to me that Clough gestured to where the young ball boy had just been sent to the stands and where he was getting booed.

I guess it’s annoying when you concede in injury time but anyone there watching the game would know mansfield were full value for the point, certainly a game of 2 halves.

A bit is an understatement tbh, but we all have a bias to our teams so I can understand that but there were some very cynical fouls and shirt pulling, plus all the complaining to the ref he was probably sick of it by the second half. That number 10 was a rat with the ref constantly in his face.

I don’t disagree that a point was a fair result, but if we’d have taken early chances it wouldn’t have got to that stage, but that’s on us.

As for the match, classic tale of two halves. The pattern of us dominating first halves and going into our shells for the second half is alarming and Hughes doesn't seem to be able to come up with answers to overcome this

Entertaining match though, and on that showing from both sides, It wouldn't surprise me to see us meeting again at Wembley in the play off final.

An entertaining game that both teams fully contributed to, end to end at times, and with Stags being better second half than we were first. And that a point each was a fair result on the whole 90 minutes.

For any bad feeling that may have arisen and been communicated on here, that ^^ seems to be the overriding feeling really from both sides once the dust has settled.

Didn't really notice too much dark arts from our end watching it on telly tbh, but if the Bradford fans did interpret stuff that way while Stags fans are saying it wasn't so bad then I guess that goes with what Wilsden said about us all having our biases towards our own teams. No slight on anyone, we all do it.

Also worth noting maybe that the comms on iFollow was the Braford-favouring Radio Leeds guys and I don't recall them mentioning anything like that about Mansfield, but ofc perceptions from people watching in the stands can be very different and emotions and confirmation bias will build as the game goes on. If you're booing and jeering someone going off with a suspected dislocated shoulder after 20 minutes or whatever it was then you're not going to get any more tolerant toward the opposition as the game goes on are you.

Again though, we all do shit like that in the moment. Stags fans will have in the past. But end of the day it seems a point apiece was fair and maybe we'll see you and have some more good games in the playoffs if we make them.

I have no idea why our fans were booing the lad going off it made no sense to me, although we have plenty of mongs who follow us so that’s probably your answer. It was obvious the lad had done a serious collarbone or shoulder injury, although it was actually him who fouled our guy who looks like a brick wall. Regarding the dark arts it wasn’t constant, just giving a reason as to why the ref wouldn’t let these challenges go. I didn’t see any crazy soft fouls going our way but that’s through a Bradford fan’s eyes. Fans have a tendency to think the worlds against them when losing, ours included.

This run comes after only 3 defeats in our first 20 games. We had a good start to the season but as is the case with any good start for Carlisle United the wheels start to fall off.

Put have faith. Despite those 3 defeats in 9, we're in a better place than we were after the 3 defeats in the previous 20. Perhaps we needed that blip as a reminder that there's still work to be done. We were by far the better side yesterday, but sometimes games like that come along - and in our case, it's usually against Harrogate. Which is frustrating, as they seem to have about 5 fans once you deduct the friends and families of the players and staff at the club.

Excellent is a stretch. Orient and Stevenage have been excellent defensively. We’ve shipped 11 more goals than them.

As for Huntington, it’s 2 mistakes in 2 games that have cost goals. Maybe the manager will take him out for a few games.

We've also scored 11 more than Orient and 9 more than Stevenage, meaning our goal difference is joint second best in the division. That defence has played its part, and all three of the first choice centre backs have been a huge part of our success thus far.

Dropping Hunts now would be a mistake IMO, he's an experienced pro and is more than capable of bouncing back. We've got a week to recover after a series of quick fire games, and lets face it - 12 from 15 is still promotion form. No point in panicking after one defeat, however frustrating yesterday was. We're looking for a response now. I'd not be unhappy with a point at Plough Lane though, Wimbledon are on decent form at home. Think they're unbeaten in 7 at home?

As we were talking about a central defender I thought I’d compare the goals conceded rather than the number of goals we’ve scored.

Yes I’d 100% take a point at Wimbledon.

Don't get me wrong, the primary function of a CB is to help keep the opposition out. Our defensive record is top 7 in the division by this metric. But the contribution of our back 3 is about more than just defending.

All 3 have chipped in with goals. Mellish causes absolute havoc with his marauding bursts forward, and Hunts and Feeney both play their parts in our deadball routines.

Given the expectations some had preseason, I'd say they've been excellent - barring the odd calamity, which you're always going to get at this level.

One step forward two back at the moment for us. About as bad a performance we've had all season, midfield and goal keeper were horrific. Need a big shake up before we play Orient on Tuesday. Really worry we will get suckes right into relegation trouble, we just can't score goals, the last time we scored more than 1 in a game was in August.

Seriously though last season he played at CB against Walsall and put in potentially the most inept defensive performance possible, then he became a steady RB, then a steady CB too, and now he literally bombs up the pitch and swings in good crosses alongside being defensively solid.
