Lolos sounds like the sort of player Crawley may go for. Young, talented but not quite worked for him yet...and because of that. Cheap!

We could do with a forward who plays back to goal.

Pierce Sweeney. Not universally loved but it'll be sad to see him go.
I still think he will sign on but Lewis Page will go, which I am pretty sure of.

If Sweeney did move on, he’d be a good signing for anyone in L2 and is definitely better at CB than RB.

No disrespect for Barrow, but this is a new low for us.

You read David Holdsworth's statement? It seems like he's asked a PL and SPL team about loaning a couple of players, and that's supposed to get the fans excited! And they haven't even got back to him yet!

I think Farman is nailed on, but you can also bet that we've at least been in contact with Rhys Bennett.

I know it's incredibly early but starting to get a bit twitchy that Rovers aren't linked with anyone or re-signed out of contract players yet. With only 3 fit players under contract for next season would like to hear something. We don't even have much in the way of rumours yet...

Why do Carlisle still employ David Holdsworth?

Scott McMann from Hamilton is picking up steam, 24, LB, would require a fee.

Firstly, I hope Swindon are able to resolve their current issues, ideally by having a less shady character running your club.

However, this thread is about all the clubs in L2 next season and so far things at Rovers have been quiet in comparison with for example Port Vale and Barrow. My previous was about that and I’m interested to hear how things are panning out at all our potential rivals along with setting out the position at TRFC.

Just my opinion on this but I think the time I’d start worrying about it personally would be for when pre-season training starts. Would just say in our case we’ve had a head start as our season came to a close with a lot of time to spare whereas Tranmere will have been focusing on playoffs and then a managerial appointment too as a number of clubs have done to be fair.

We’d have to forfeit a five a side comp at the moment with lack of players!

I’m not worried. Micky’s come back on the basis that he’ll have strong financial backing and they’ll be building a good squad behind the scenes. Hard for fans to wait it out but once they start signing then it’ll get fun.

Port Vale look like they’re doing some good business though. Add those new recruits to last seasons end of season form... Well... Book the parade :bg:

We could just about manage a five a side, we have six signed on plus two lads from the acadamy who have just signed their first pro contracts.

Not sure signing Carlisle players just to troll them is the best strategy, but happy with this one too. Always thought he was good when he faced us in non-league.

We have 9 players under contract and 0 keepers I think.

If you keep signing Carlisle players doesn’t that turn you into the “worst team in the league”?

Farman has got a hell of a good kick on him from memory of when we played them.

i wouldn't be surprised if we make it 3 with Rhys Bennett.
or rather make it 6 if you add in Mike Jones, Jamie Devitt and Patrick Brough
(might even have missed another one somewhere)

His goalkick from the ground is the biggest I’ve ever seen and he has the longest run up. Decent GK too. Carlisle could be in big trouble here if they lose a few more

Yeah, but we'll be the best team in the league until Christmas.

Its been like this for a few years now. I think Mark Palios just likes to keep us on tenterhooks. Wait a while and then a load of announcements in a week.

Pretty sure MM won't be sat on his backside. We've announced no signings yet but we know the work is being done.

Only Rhys Bennet and Omari Patrick are still considering new contracts. We were resigned to losing Bennet anyway. We've still got a full starting line up pretty much under contract, losing some of our better players but not a full scale exodus.

I am not worrying personally. At least we have the England team to disappoint us for a while.
