Not like most clubs are able to make a counter offer anywhere close either.

Simple, people need money for whatever reason. We'd all bugger off to the highest payer in the job market so why not footballers?

Rhys Oates didn’t bugger off to the highest paid job, Dya think he was daft for doing that.

He was daft for writing soppy Instagram posts and not informing the club he had signed for you. Does that answer your question?

Surely Mansfield offered more money than Hartlepool. I know Radford isn't spending ostentatiously any more but he's still very wealthy and you'd imagine a modest salary for a Mansfield player is still more than what Hartlepool called a 'very very good offer'.

They did, he's just being obnoxious.

a non-league club offered 40% more, Stockport the rumour was. I imagine we definitely offered more than Hartlepool.

Careful. You'll have the grammar nazis discussing apostrophes in third person singular neuter pronouns.

I hope that dictionary was suitably seasoned before you ate it

Apparently we're interested in Alex Whitmore from Fylde to replace Hayden.

Watch out Conference North... we've got Hollywood money now and we're coming for your players. In all seriousness though I'm no rumour-whisperer so beyond one or two well known sources (or obvious joke rumour-mills) I've no clue what's a credible rumour and what's nonsense.

Anything on twitter rumour sites is mostly nonsense.

We still in talks for a CB, considering how long it’s going on I guess it’s somebody contracted at another club.

Signed Ricky Aguair from Worthing. Young lad, 20.

Looks like we actually have a plan for the future and not just concentrating on the present.

who is it? we might swoop in with our Hollywood money and nab them.

No idea, nothing been rumoured or suggested but it’s been going on a while.

We only have three CB at the club and only two are fit, so odds on one gets injured tonight.

Erm, it’s Nazi’s mate. ;)
I pointed out this exchange to a friend of mine and she said you are incorrect! I'll be honest and say that I thought you are correct but her reasoning is...

"Nazi should only be capitalised if it is referring to the Nazi party not if it referring to the way a person is acting."

I instinctively knew this cos I was learnt English proper like...

I have an idea. You come back with a rebuttal and we then all agree to agree with that because it's (apostrophe because of omission) really rather dull.

Erm, I was joking you know mucker?
(Hence the smiley wink)

And I only pulled Devon Lad up on it because he’s an absolute bell-end talking about the English language whilst obviously not understanding it himself.

You have to be careful with him because he might send his nanny to get you.

A lot of those twitter transfer rumour sites have quit.
I thought I'd not seen as many of those 'EFL Transfer Hub' type accounts this summer. Has someone tried claiming a breach of copyright against them, or is there a new Pokemon game they're obsessed with at the moment instead?

Scored a belter for Wycombe on trial pre-season and scouted by Brighton. Really pleasing to see us dipping our toe in this pond. Hopefully it works out well going forward.

And enter some kind of regional under 23 league? Would be beneficial if we were playing Southampton, Reading, Bristol City type under 23s etc but surely we'd get spanked week in week out.

Not the point though, is it? It’s light years ahead of the Power years.

GTFCFish; I did realise it was a joke, honest. I only posted the reply because I thought it amusing that something we both thought right could very well be wrong.

I'm one of life's happy souls. I rarely take offence. I mean, I support Crawley. You need to see the funny side of life when the gods give you that curse!
