Yeah, I think its very likely that Horsfall is happening, as the guy had been spot on about 100% over last two years and is the only one who has. He did say its not over the line yet. Will need to a good replacement for him but Fox, Burge and Hylton feels like a strengthening for us, Haines maybe being brough in as depth.

A good signing for League 2, but surprised no-one in League 1 was interested, but maybe the ones who could match/up Stockports wage structures at the top end of League 1 had bigger fish to catch.

I don’t know if he’s actually any good but some on our forum have wanted him the last 3 years and seem to rate him highly for what it’s worth. Even though I doubt any of them have seen him play, 100% when it’s announced they’ll be some on our forum questioning why we didn’t get him.

We had him on loan for the latter half of the 20/21 season. He wasnt great, lets just say that. He ran a fair bit but thats about it. Couldnt really fault his effort but never seemed likely to become prolific, never got into goalscoring positions and then when he did tended to fluff his lines.

We’ve signed Sonny Hilton on loan from Fulham.

No idea if he’s any good but Simpson has worked with him at England U20s, so he should know enough about him.
The club have finally confirmed this days later.

Well thanks for the info. Edmondson sounds like just the type of player for Carlisle. Shit, but with the ever so slight possibility that he might improve.

Saw a Twitter rumour linking Callum Cooke with Rochdale. Be a good addition to a few sides in the division.

He’s not shit at all. Hard working forward, great attitude and deceptively quick for his size. Even filled in well at RWB a couple of times when we asked him to as well and did a good job. Needs to try and be a bit more prolific in front of goal and if events had turned out slightly differently in the shootout against Swindon it would be his Diana Ross impression not McKirdys moonball that people would be remembering. Wouldn’t have minded him back at Vale but probably couldn’t guarantee him minutes ahead of Wilson and Proctor.

I liked Edmondson (although believe he is in Australia at the moment according to his social media!) and was talk of him playing over there due to his missus.

His attitude was spot on and he made a fairly positive impact, scored a few goals and worked hard, we played him out wide at wing back when hit with injuries (put in a wonder cross against Oldham for Proc's second goal!)

I wouldn't have minded us keeping him to develop with us further but as said we couldn't guarantee the minutes now (as with Harratt) so would be a decent move to Carlisle and think he would do well there.

Hector Kyprianou confirmed to have left us for Peterborough:

£300k and a 20% sell on clause.

From our perspective - correct decision to sell, especially for that type of deal. Hector has good technical ability and is more than capable of playing the game in a passing team. All the managers we’ve had the last few years have always picked him and he seems a good character with a lot of potential.

He is prone to at least one or two major, Major fucks up during a game though. Whether it be a shocking pass to the opposition inside his own half, to not knowing what’s around him and finally to making poorly timed tackles and getting sent off. Of course this is what supporters will remember most of all - major mistakes in a game which are costly.

He has the potential to do well in the game, but this is a good deal for us right now.

I imagine Northampton feeling similar to how we felt last week! Stockport working in a different league to most others again.

Think he’s back from Aus now, but wasn’t training with us today so maybe hasn’t actually signed yet. Not sure if we’re paying any fee to Leeds but the Leeds journo seems to think it’s a done deal.

I think out of the 3 out of contract, McWilliams Roberts and Horsfall, we’d rather Horsfall left than the other 2.

Class aerially, but not great on the ball (see the Bristol rovers game) and can get a bit caught positionally. Good player, but a lot less of a blow than the others and benefitted from a good unit with Guthrie and Roberts.

Our first signing is Oscar Massey an 18 year old striker. As he's recently been released by Plymouth Argyle's academy I suspect he's not highly-rated!

I see you've signed Hutchinson. We had him on loan in the second half of 2020-21. He barely played though, so no idea why we bothered.

And I recall someone joined our forum who spent most of many posts blasting Cooper for not playing him or playing him out of position or whatever, only to disappear when Hutchinson left - probably his best mate, agent or someone else with a personal interest. So don't be surprised if that happens.

Up until this signing, if it even happens, the leagues we were working in this summer were the NL and NLN.

Apart from Hogan which happened straight after the takeover we’ve not really invested much money at all into the defence and even Hogan had dropped onto the Salford bench when we picked him up.

Horsfall would be far and away are biggest earner at the back and we’ve decided to go all out for a tried and tested League Two as we haven’t got any proven EFL defenders in our squad. Last week we pulled out of a similar deal for Camps as we’ve got someone proven in Sarcevic and a lot more confidence in our remaining midfielders stepping up compared to our defenders.

Some of our fans were surprised to see him go as he’d scored a few goals in our academy. Oscar and his family weren’t happy at all when he was released, posting on Twitter and Instagram etc.

We have signed Isaac Hutchingson from Derby on a 1 year deal with the option of a second. He was on loan at Crawley last season.

Don’t know much about him apart from he’s an attacking midfielder.

Just need a couple of strikers and I presume that’s be us done.
I thought Hutchinson did well for Crawley. Started out slowly but gradually improved.

Good on the ball and willing to put himself out for the team (he was one of the players Yems said had had more positions than a porn star). Best position is central attacking midfield where he can arrive late into the box and be unlucky with his finishes. Tall lad is Hutchinson but I didn't really see him given much responsibility for winning headed duels.

Many Crawley fans were hoping he would be back this season.

Disappointingly haven't seen any "he'll tear that level up, should be in our first team" signings yet.

Ah that's 'good' to hear. Not about the family on twitter etc as that just sounds a bit petty. Hopefully he'll go on and score plenty of goals for us.
