Gonna laugh my arse off if Stockport don't get promoted again. :pmsl:
Gonna bite: Why?

Fairly sure every County fan I know would be delighted with anything in the top 7, and right now I think that's the most realistic aim.

Funny watching Northampton fans on Twitter moaning about losing a player who’s taken more money closer to home, the irony

Just standard bitterness from people who thought he was going to go up a league. In reality its a logical move for a guy that served us well.

Crawley can only offer NFT’s of dreams though

Assume some sort of Ape dream as every time i see an NFT its inevitably the same monkey with some odd clothing etc.

Yes.

Challinor's comments are interesting. Bascially said you guy didn't as a team and that he thinks he's got it in him from following his career path.

Hmm, that was always where he seemed to struggle. Always had a moment in a game where he’d dawdle or mis-kick (Carlisle away and BRovers at home that immediately spring to mind as costing goals). But who knows Challinor knows more than I do!

He alluded to the fact that that's something he can work on but has in his locker and he feels he and the coaching staff can bring it out in him and if he does he can become a Championship standard defender. Lets wait and see.

Sought-After a new phrase but definitely a point in the highly rated league, we’re up to two now.

A lower half L2 finish would've been fantasy land for your boys in what the last 12 years? Bit of cash and the newbie gets all excited
I don't get why it's boiling so much piss. Just calm down.

As alluded to by me and other County fans, I'd be happy with play-offs.

It's not I just think your patter is crap now. You were better on the non league forum.

Lower half league 2 would be a good first season back for Stockport. This is the football league, not the national league. Teams aren’t going to bend over and spread their cheeks for you like they did down there.

All this talk of dreams, League 2 titles, points records, promotions, playoffs… come on, let’s get serious. There’s a lot of improvement needed for that.

Fair play for being brave enough to say that when Paul Simpson is your manager!

I think it will be harder to get into the play offs this year than last. Don't see a stand out team but looks like a dozen or so will be eyeing top 7.

Good signing for Bradford and for Timi himself.

Any Bradford fans heard anything about the undisclosed fee? Curious how much compo we will have got.

Don't really get the point you’re trying to make. Simpson has managed successfully at both this level and the level you’ve become accustomed to. I’m sure he’s well aware of the gap between the two divisions.

Us. Wouldn’t surprise me if we got rid for someone more mobile tbh.

I bet if Cook goes he'll probably end up banging in 20 goals somewhere...

I wouldn't have kept him based on the last few months of the season, but in the photos from pre-season, it looks like he has slimmed down significantly. If we could get the Andy Cooke pre-Christmas it'd be a no brainer for me.

“Following extensive negotiations Hartlepool United have reached an agreement with Bradford City AFC for a significant fee and future royalties. The immediate proceeds with be reinvested into the budget to support Manager Paul Hartley’s 2022/23 campaign”

Pinched off Twitter. Seems like a good deal for both parties?

Saw plenty of times we 'bent over and spread our cheeks' when we had your man in charge here, if I was a Carlisle fan after surviving the drop last season I would be looking over my shoulder with him around. I appreciate Carlisle is the only club he hasn't been an abject failure however.

Anyway, it's other fans on here bigging up the dream makers, every County fan will be happy to finish in the playoffs, hope you guys can avoid the drop as it's not nice to see the traditional clubs fall through that trap door.
