Stubbs confirmed 18 month deal. My guess is he doesn't manage 25 games.
I’m in favour of another centre half (ideally one that isn’t a crock granted), not a fan really of Platt and Odusina obviously isn’t getting a look in. Right footed too which offers some balance, we go on about having the leagues best keeper yet rarely keep a clean sheet.

Your owners steadied the ship and laid foundations for an immediate promotion, you're safe enough from going down, what else do you lot want? You're shit under Hurst each winter. Just get through it
Yep just get through another half a season without a striker says the Stockport fan whose club signs a striker/winger/CM on 5k p/w 3 days into every window, thanks mate.

I'm not saying the new owners haven't done a fantastic job, as them and Hurst definitely have. What is frustrating is that we were told that we would be improving the squad every window and we absolutely haven't done that here. Our local journo asked PH if he had a message for the fans getting tetchy due to lack of signings midway through this window and he told us to trust him and trust the plan yet here we are having missed out on our main targets once again.

It's the second time we've been promoted from the NL in recent years only to be failing to capitalise on the positivity of promotion. Record season ticket sales, BP packed our several times this season, Fenty paid off, 250k from McAtee and probably another 150-200k in cup run money in our back pocket and we can't sign a striker?

I was hoping a good Jan and a good summer of recruitment and we'd be looking at a promotion push next season but I don't see that as a realistic prospect now.

We've completed the loan signing of Josh Reid from Coventry until the end of the season. He's a left back formerly of Ross County, so he's the Saxon Earley replacement, will provide cover and competition for Max Clark.

Looking at the make up of the squad I'd say that's it for us now. Looks like a case of replacing those that we've lost/moved on plus we've added cover at centre back and in the attacking midfield areas. Fingers crossed we don't lose anyone significant between now and the close of the window.

Waiting on a players parent club to decide if a target of ours is allowed out.

Also see Swindon battling to hang on to Williams, that’d be a big blow at this stage of the window wouldn’t it? Can’t see any reason to sell even with his contract status

To Gills? Not sure if he's L2 level but he did a job for us at the back end of last season in the NL. Strong and aggressive, can bully CBs, harasses defences well. Was a decent lower league battering ram when we needed it. Expert skills are running the clock down and taking those pens that Prem players do when they send the keeper the wrong way. I liked him. He's not gonna get you out your seat but solid if unspectacular.

Cheers, seems we might be in for him, erm no. I checked his stats and can’t say I’m overwhelmed. Still might be one for our yet to be implemented B team.

Yeah we weren't overwhelmed either when he signed, but he's not really a goalscorer to be honest so I wouldn't read too much into that. He definitely put shifts in that enabled us to pick up points, could be a shrewd option off the bench.

And so it begins, missed out on everyone he's tried to sign all window, so get those young loans signed in the last hour and pretend you have wanted them for a while.

Been grafting, got to me phone to see our RAFT of signings, what the fuck happened? Where are they all.

And for the record, us and Grimsby are absolutely mudded, Dallas would rather stick it out in a mid table NL side than either of us

Sorry Grimsby fans we had Dickson Peters on loan last season, with us nowhere near football league standard

Sure all the other gills fans here agree with me

Cursed it. Ashby-Hammond has picked up an injury that'll keep him out for several weeks. Absolute shitter that as he's been fantastic this season. We've signed Jokull Andresson on loan from Reading to replace him.
