How is he a professional footballer?

Lad is absolutely dreadful. His brain and his feet do not work in tandem.

Andy Cook having a mare, Ash Taylor being the waddling fridge he is, and Paddy being Paddy.

Zeli Ismail was there for a while too.

We gave you Yann Songo'o so that's a point to us!

He was completely anonymous for those 6 months and then went on to run the midfield against us opening day for Morecombe. Derek Adams effect.

Tyriek Wright was only on loan but did alright for both of us to be fair.

George Miller another, strange player.

Walsall ruined Jamie Lawrence’s career - for that, we can never be fwends.

Cook is also guaranteed at least one goal at Field Mill in a few weeks.

A bit different with us, up until last season I don’t think Cook had ever scored against us before he got the winner at Valley Parade.
He deserved that goal he was brilliant all game against us won absolutely everything.

Cook just needs a fixture against one of his old teams to get him going. We played Barrow in the second game last season which got him up and running nice and early.

He'll be back to his normal self when we play Mansfield in a few weeks.

They are dark horses in the NL. Building a good team I wouldn't be surprised to see them coming back up.
Not sure they can be defined as dark horses when they were in and amongst the play-off places pretty much all last season. I appreciate you probably didn't notice, but there were some other reasonable sides in the division below the top two.

I mean for the title. Not sure what the tone is for, I like the NL and pay quite a bit of attention to it - as I have for the last 15 years.

They were good last year, but have a better squad this year.

No tone, it was genuine - your focus would've been on the fight between you and Notts from early on last season and rightly so, but in any normal season the likes of Chesterfield, Barnet, Woking would've had more accolades for their season. Maybe not Chesterfield as they may feel they ought to have been part of the title race, but they were still a very good side last year, just not good enough.

I actually watched Barnet in their opener against Hartlepool. I thought they were very good for 70 minutes and then faded badly, nearly letting Hartlepool back into it from a 3-0 lead - I notice they went one better and let Eastleigh nick a draw from a similar position the other night, and that could be their downfall as they do have quite an experienced (old) squad. They also don't have much to back up Kabamba, whereas last season they had Harry Smith in the latter stages. Some good players there though - Gorman, Pritchard, Brunt is an excellent midfield trio, with exciting players like Kanu and your own Hall-Johnson providing good wide options.

The list of well known players dropping into L2 continues. Deeney is a ridiculous signing for this level even with his advancing age. Should be good for a few goals for them.

I'd heard we had been in talks with him for a while but he wanted player/coach and we were only interested in a player deal. Should be cracking at this level.

Yeah had other offers apparently, but is keen to go down the coaching route. Not sure how much he’ll play, but if/when he does he should still be good at this level, got 7 in the Championship last season.

Decent coup for us, I mentioned before, he’s also good mates with our manager which probably helped a bit.

Lewis Richards on a permanent deal from Wolves apparently. On loan at Harrogate last year but didn't play much.

Seems to be a LB/CB but not the LWB we desperately need. Fantastic

Though LWB would be a higher priority I agree, if he brings some pace to the back 3 then it isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Yes, reports suggest he can play anywhere in the defence, but seems to be primarily a central defender, (a technical defender in the mould of Conor Coady) and I think there's a need there if he is up to scratch.

City capture Lewis Richards - undisclosed fee from Wolves. Much needed LWB!

Pete O'Rourke who has been right about a few of our moves over the last year or so is linking us with Wycombe attacker Brandon Hanlan. Goal scoring record isn't that inspiring

Was with us a few years ago.
I would be a bit surprised if you aren’t looking for better than that.

They’ve got down to W on the League 1 list already? Time to try League 2.

Monday morning: “Hello Accrington, have you got any strikers for sale?”

In his interviews this week Scott Lindsey states he is hoping to bring one, possibly two more players in before the transfer window closes.

I think we do have quite a few defenders and forwards so I will presume some midfielders but it won't be anyone spectacular unless we have managed to rummage around Peter Lim's sofa when we were in Salford last week.
