I’ve just returned from living in Greece for a few years. 4 or 5 days of normal summer temperatures and everybody knee jerks. We’re doomed! Doomed I say!

How on earth do people survive going on holiday for 2 whole weeks

Top of the league? You are checking this early? Mental.

But you are right yes, constantly if you remove all posts about Notts, Bradford, Mansfield and Grimsby.

Fine...do what you want...but speak with the average Aussie about their attitude, in a country where they recognise that the ozone layer above them is screwed, and you might change your mind...or maybe not!

The ozone layer has almost completely healed over. It just does my head in the reaction here that 4 or 5 days of decent temps is a deadly thing when people go on holiday for 2 weeks in even hotter temps. It’s the constant nannying culture on every subject. Christ, if people don’t know to stay out of the sun if it’s hot and to drink water there’s no hope.

My lad had his ticket in his hand on the drive here and it flew out of the window on the motorway, now I’ve gotta hope that photo I took of the tickets will be ok for them to let him in.

Spelling looks all ok to me which is a pleasant suprise from our non existent young fans.

You've just signed a seasoned Scottish international and you are searching for all things Notts on matchday. Oh the irony.

There is plenty of spouting shit (and irony) but you are too blinkered to see plenty is coming from North Wales.

Enjoy the game later.

I didn't search anything, it was on twitter.

Oh we have our stupid fans too (some of the posts on RP are ridiculous) but thankfully none of them post outside of RP or Facebook/Twitter.

Benedict C Mason I see.

Don't know him, certainly don't follow him.

Club only message boards always provide the biggest spectrum and most laughable (usually negative) posts.

I actually clicked on the article about Sol Campbell and it said he was on 40k per week at Notts, and that’s not one of the guessed wages on here that we all inflate with each post it said in his 4 weeks at Notts he earned 160k and he was on a 4 year contract worth 10M.
I don’t see any Wrexham players on that kind of money.
I don't think we paid him, that's why he left pretty quick.

"It's all there, black and white, clear as crystal! You stole fizzy lifting drinks! You bumped into the ceiling which now has to be washed and sterilized, so you get nothing! You lose! Good day, sir!"

Sol Campbell got nothing! So he rightly walked away.

Callum Ainley signs, feels like a bit of a gamble that he’ll find his form but it’s a position we needed back up in
You've messed up bringing him this late, you've missed out on over half of his good performances this season.

Tends to be quality in August and 1st half of September, then goes missing until the last few weeks of April. He's the definition of a fair weather player. He's got talent, but is abit of a luxury player as he's not really a winger, a forward or a central midfield player but has little bits of each of those positions. Doesn't score enough goals nor does he really create enough.

Hopefully a change of scenery does him the world of good as its been long overdue, when he burst onto the scene as 17-18 year old we had very high hopes of him, but so far it just hasn't worked out.

To be fair this is exactly the sort of player that Hurst often gets the best out of (Jon Nolan a good example), it’s a gamble of course but I wouldn’t put it past Hurst to get him firing again.

More than happy to give him a chance but our fans have a habit of saying this about Hurst whilst going on to name the same (and only) 2-3 examples from Hursts 7+ years here.

Ryan Edwards too, I believe.
Edwards, if as good as we are led to believe, and Wickham “could” be great signings for this league. We need to keep the run going, get regular crowds of 11k and stay in the top 3/5 all before January. Do that and we should “hopefully “ have enough in the bank to buy Young and/or Kemp. Tall ask , but certainly doable

Well, I doubt they’d play together. I’d imagine they’d rotate between each other. Wickham is a type of player we haven’t got. Always played at a higher level than L2 and scored 6 in 9 for a poor FGR side last season.

I would be happy enough to see him sign

Rovers sign ex Bradford and Orient left-back Connor Wood. Previously at Orient, Bradford and most recently on loan to Saturdays opponent Colchester. If he starts Saturday will be the sixth player to fill the Rovers left-back spot.
He was ok for us, but both Kenny Jackett and Richie Wellens were both quick to leave him out of the team at various points, some suggesting he was a problem behind the scenes.

Wellens played him a few times then basically decided he wanted to bring in Rob Hunt who was an upgrade and he never featured again for us.
