Holy for us last year in L2 was quite a solid keeper and he broke our club record for most clean sheets in a season.

He's a great character to have around too and saved a penalty at Wembley in our play off shootout, but L1 was just a step too high for him and he lost his confidence so a fresh start elsewhere will be right for him.

Also he is the tallest football player in England, maybe even Europe too.

He was also very good for us in L1 for two years and got a good move to Ipswich off the back of it. Sounds like he's been up and down since then, but as a L2 number one keeper I doubt there will be many better than him if he were to sign for someone in this division. I'd happily have him back with us.

Wonderful guy as well, really seems to appreciate being a pro footballer and thankful for the opportunity to get to do it, it's a very refreshing attitude.

Madden is a fantastic player and I did want cover for Grigg. But I wanted someone younger, mobile, quick, direct. Our glaring obvious need is defenders as well. Let's see how it pans out in the coming months

Madden is a top lower league player on and off the pitch and a legend here but I can see why the Chesterfield fans have some reservations because its sure to be big money and a 2 year deal at least for a 34 year old.

He's not the type of character to come for a pay day and sit on his arse though, he'll come and give 100%.

Artell will sign a load of players who are pretty "decent on the ball" and players he knows and it's going to be a shit show of piss weakness.

Stockwood will double down on Artell because he's his man but will end up having to do the right thing sooner rather than later. Hopefully at the right time because they can't go down again.

They stayed up at the end because Artell completely went away from his principles which was the right thing to do but pointless in the long term.

Paddy will be a great signing for Chesterfield, will run himself into the ground for you and will be one of the most intelligent strikers in this division the way he moves off the ball and presses. Great person to have in the dressing room as well.

Looks like we are raiding Salford again and signing Elliott Watt. Bit lukewarm on it really, apparently we nearly had the deal over the line in January but Salford pulled the plug when it looked like they were going down.

Not heard anything but that’s not unusual, they keep things very quiet these days

He was decent for us in League 2, but gash for us in League 1.

By no means saying he’s a great league 2 keeper, but there’s a hell of a lot worse Grimsby could go for imo.
