Looks like we’ve royally pissed off Daragh McAnthony over the proposed sale of Tshimanga. Good - the fuckwit.

We've confirmed the signing of Kian Breckin. Looking stocked for numbers in most areas, but definitely light in the attack department. Need another option(or 2 if the budget will stretch) up there, be that a LW, a ST or both.

Alan Nixon reporting we are set to sign Diamond Edwards on loan from Southampton. We had a look at him on trial earlier this pre-season, seemed ok if a little unpolished.

codaplenty seen that Fleetwood have signed Mipo Odubeko. We had him on loan in our first year in L1. One of those players that has a lot of the physical attributes just not really knowing how to use them. If you believe Flitcroft he got sent back to West Ham early as his attitude at the time wasn’t quite what wanted it to be.

Hey you Vale fans, Fleetwood have signed Mipo Odubeko on a 1 yr deal
Scoring record sounds decent, was he any good playing for you lads
Do you think we would have been better off ( trying) to keep Jaydon Stockley ?

I don’t know why Darragh is pissed about what L2 clubs are offering - it’ll have nothing to do with what they can afford, it’ll be FFP related.

Whereas with National League clubs, I understand the constraints aren’t as tight.

But having said that, Darragh knows what he’s doing. He’s creating more exposure for him, the club and the player in question.

He was fairly poor but that was 2 years back, big and powerful but not much quality but two years at that age is a long time and may have developed in Madeira.

Part of the issue is the National League clubs can spend what they like whereas in league 2 you are limited to 55% of turnover

Everyone should simply build fanzones and padelball courts

And as everyone knows, Financial Fair Play is our middle name.

Rumours on Twitter that we’re in for Jake Young. Also of Dan Crowley going to Mansfield if they flog DKD.

The riot police will be on standby again if that second thing happens.

Well no idea if there’s a ounce of truth to it but I like the idea.

DKD is only going if someone meets our very high valuation but I would not rule it out.

And as everyone knows, Financial Fair Play is our middle name.

it’s SCMP in L1/2 and not worth the paper it’s written on.

Bradford will be restricted by it more due to the owner not willing to invest (although he did claim he has topped up the budget this season ironically) You have to do it via equity or sponsorship to boost income via the owners in L2 whereas in non-league you can just loan it. Only difference.

I think your bring very charitable, time will tell eh !
Well you never know, Oldham fans told us Ben Garrity was rubbish and he has had three glorious years with us, Darlington fans made a big point of telling us how bad Akpo Sodje was and he got 15 in his first season and then we sold him for £325k so different clubs/players fit.

I’d be surprised if there’s anything in this. Doesn’t strike me as a Simpson type of signing, unless it’s all Greg Abbott’s doing with his vast scouting Yorkshire network..

Probably made up to add fuel to the Carlisle/Bradford X BEEF

Curzon Ashton....and Carlisle
A bang average Bradford player.

That is exactly the type of player we keep signing so I’d say yes we are interested.

Bradford sign them to hype……2,3-4 years of decline or failure then up pops Carlisle to take their next steps of either improving to their initial hype or carrying on where they left off.

Getting ridiculous

It's from The City Vent who have got a few things right before, so fairly reliable.

Gillead is better than bang average. I'd like to think there is still room for him in our squad. Got a few moms last season.

He was fairly average for us, I think that’s probably why Bigdave is saying it. Although he was a 19 year old right winger when we had him, so clearly a different player these days.

Can't believe any Darlo fans told you Sodje was rubbish? We loved him here.

Gillead has fallen through the cracks by failing to nail down one position and instead he’s become this jack of all trades master of none winger/centre mid/wingback where despite having the best engine in the squad, great attitude, never stops… he’s not starting in front of more specialised players. Saying that, I would miss him because of that versatility and commitment.
Carlisle would make sense from a sort of geographical point of view, Barrow maybe, Grimsby that sort of level club.

Carlisle could do a lot worse than Gilly imo, not the greatest stats wise but a good squad player and leader. Seems the sort of lad that gets on with everyone in the club as well which is always useful. I like him, Wyke and Lewis so Carlisle will be very likable if I stay off Twitter.
