If you get 60 minutes a game out of him, that's a cracking signing.

There must be a question mark over his fitness though, otherwise he would be at league 1 level at least?
Well hes passed a medical so hopefully over the worst of it, according to kenny jackett he had offers higher up the leagues but wanted to be back near London for his Mrs.

As you said if he keeps fit he should rip this league apart

Reilly Harbottle. Colchester fans?
Actually don't bother I've seen on twitter your thoughts. I will go with mansfield fans opinions as that suits me more, lol

The jokes on the parent club really. How many players are kept around well into their 20s and sent out for loan after loan just on the offchance that 1-2 of them blossom and earn said parent club a big fee. It would be far better if they just realised that if they aren't Championship/Premier League ready by the time they're 21, they probably never will be and just sell them.

So banning loans would force those clubs to be more choosy and develop what they have while clubs at our level would stand more chance of players joining long-term if they know they stand zero chance of playing at all once they're in the stockpile elsewhere. It can't go on the way it is with clubs bankrupting themselves paying wages to all the talent they've hoovered up while the smaller club gets comparative peanuts in compensation and then have to pay a chunk of their (much bigger) wages to loan them back to our level.

Had a bit of a calamitous time with us, but arrived to much fanfare from Mansfield fans so could go either way I suppose!

It's also on the players to taken more charge of their careers and demand first team football from an early age, whether it's at their parent club or out on loan. The amount of players who seem content to take a healthy wage in the U21s of a top 2 tier club and see their best developmental years between 18-24 slip away is maddening.

Dack was/is obviously a class apart for this league.

But he's averaging 18 games a season over the last five years. Someone coming in and out of the team like that isn't ideal. The signing, as already said, entirely depends on him maintaining his fitness.

Rumour of Matt Jay from Colchester. Seems to have gone downhill since leaving Exeter.

From those ITK it's apparently a one year deal with an option.
Base salary is reasonable but topped up with very hefty appearance/goal etc incentives.
Hopefully, we've protected ourselves against the injury risk so that if it doesn't work out it's not cost us too much in the long run.

What happened at Colchester?

He had a good season for us, definitely able to play a part in a top seven side at L2 level, maybe a little too mistake prone.

Perhaps his confidence had gone a bit after a poor spell with Hibs, but he just never looked comfortable - right from the off in his first game he was making big mistakes, scoring own goals, giving away penalties etc. Our problem at that time of the season was individual errors that you can't really legislate for, as otherwise we had become much more solid under Cowley, and a lot of those were Harbottle and Goodman so it's interesting that they're now both in the same Wimbledon defence.

If we accept I'll have to assume it's silly money for my own sanity. Him and Nemane were excellent together going forwards so it would make a lot of sense.

In American sports you can often get a lot of benefit by dealing with new owners who want to make marquee signings/trades, so I could also pretend that's the angle we're going for if we sell another starter to MK.

We've bid for Dan Crowley

Probably the most technically gifted player in the league. So, so good.

Also, from my own impression of MK’s side, probably the last thing you need. You’ve already got loads of tiny midfielders who can’t tackle!

You paid pretty decent money for Nemane, but Crowley would be a different matter. Would have to be a lot.

Another good player to waste his career away playing for an out of his depth manager in a big soulless stadium full of empty seats.

Sounds like Liam Kelly has a bad injury…

Very different positions (at least to where Kelly was playing for Crawley). He’s started the season deeper for us because we have loads of injuries, but Crowley is a pure number ten, needs a complete free role to get the best out of him.

Fire sale at Notts. Where’s the money gone?

It's a novelty to have players (multiple) that other clubs want to pay fees for.

Personally would only sell if a) MK are overpaying b) replacement lined up and c) he wouldn't sign an extension.

His tight twists and turns are a joy to watch.

I loved Crowley at Cheltenham, but he didn't seem to have an end product, would do something brilliant on the ball then run into a dead end. Seems he sorted that last bit out at Notts.

It always seemed his agent was a massive pain in the ass, so him not wanting to sign an extension really wouldn't surprise me.

We are building a war chest for next season to break every League 2 record in existence, you have been warned

Mad summer from MK, they’re going to end up having lads they signed 4 weeks ago they can’t even register to play soon

Any Bradford fans heard anything about a return for Jake Young?
