codaplenty is David Harrington any good? We're rumoured to be interested. Backup to Woodman I'd expect, rather than a replacement.

We’re being linked with youngster Kyle Mcfadzean again… :animatedf:

In fairness, would make a lot of sense because we’ve lacked Dunkley’s leadership skills while he’s been out and need someone with that level of experience back there.

a 38 year old to bring through the young 33 year olds, good blend of youth and experience

I like this a lot, it's important to build for the future. Plus he can get to away games using his bus pass so there's a financial saving.

Thing is we haven't
We're still fielding some of the crap that got us relegated last season. Lewis (until recently), Barclay, Vela, Mellish, Neal, Lavelle, Armstrong etc all still around the first team. Although to be fair to the latter two they have improved of late.
Are many going out then you reckon ?

Seems like you will be signing a good few , but a massive squad probably wouldn't be helpful

We played them in a pre-season friendly 2-3 years ago. Their new ground is in the middle of nowhere and is tinpot beyond belief - truly awful!

Give me Bootham Crescent anyday!
Same wasn't impressed with that 1 seems overly small without much room for expansion aswell

That owner of theirs is a bit of an interesting character. Remember when there were (admittedly false) rumours of us trying to buy Dipo Akinyimi off them in the summer would see stuff on Twitter with him beefing with Scarborough fans among others. One of those while things are going well they will all love him but hit a dodgy spell you can see him proper throw his toys out the pram and threaten to close them down etc.
That's the lad we've been linked with not so sure about that signing myself though he's only scored 2 goals all season so far.

Been playing on the wing apparently as he doesn’t really fit into their managers system, that’s what the York fans have said anyway. Might explain the lack of goals as he got 15 for them last year.

I reckon we’ll try and get rid of as many as 8 or 9.

But they are some of the worst players in the football league so highly doubt there’ll be many takers. It may be a case of some being unregistered and sitting out to make space in the EFL 25 man squad limit.

Weird though int it quite a few of them came with a good reputation , similiar at Gillingham to a degree decent players previously but it hasn't gone well . I thought when Carlisle went up you would kick on tbh - decent gates , well resourced, decent ownership and forward momentum ; basically the opposite to normal basket cases - but it's gone badly wrong hasn't it . Hopefully it's a better second half of the season for you.

When we went up we weren’t well resourced at all and didn’t have decent ownership. We got promoted with a bottom 3 L2 budget and went into league 1 with that same budget. The old owners wouldn’t put anything in to help us. Totally out of our depth.

We ended up signing a load of crap that no one else wanted. When the takeover happened last season the damage was already done, the losing culture ingrained and we were already relegated. Despite now being well resourced that losing culture is still stinking the place out to this day, hence the season we’re having.

Not sure that's the type of signing you really need.

Stockport County.
It's sad what's happening at Carlisle. They should easily be staying up. Their owners should be hung in front of the Main Stand if they go down.

Dipo Akinyime not in the York squad sounds like he's gone listening to there manager talk.Seen us and Chesterfield linked to him only possible way it could be us is if DJ or Cleary are being moved on or both.

Rumours of Jamie Walker going to Rotherham, Morecambe or Carlisle. According to one of our forums. Think Carlisle would be the best move for him.
