Sounds like he has all the attributes we are missing now though so fingers crossed it works out. Can play wide too apparently.

We've signed Tom McCready from Morecambe on a deal until the end of the season.

"Sources in Shrophire confirm that Tyrone Barnett is expected to try and finalise a deal to join Shrewsbury."

Just to piss of the cambridge fans we are supposed to be signing Appiah when he comes back from the African cup
I'm actually quite relaxed about this to be honest. Although we have tons if cash now, he'd be on a fair wedge and we can't really justify all of his wages. We also need to learn to live without him which we are doing gradually. I really hope we don't sign him.

News imminently expected from Town.

Possible signing of Tyrone Barnett but also rumours regarding Ryan Woods moving to Bournemouth, interesting.

Keshi Anderson at Barton Rovers was supposedly interesting both Luton and Cambridge - looks set to be joining Crystal Palace!

Bruno Andrade and Danny Johnson sign on loan from QPR and Cardiff respectively.

Andrade didn't have the best spell on loan last year but he showed glimpses of quality - we're desperately low on numbers out wide and up top (with our current injury problems) so these two should at least give us some more competition over the next month or so.

Ryan Hall signing was announced at half time, 18 month deal but don't know if we would have had to pay a fee for him?

Seems to have had a few issues at other places he has been so slightly skeptical but looks to be the sort of player we need.

It's all gone wrong for him since he had his head turned when at Southend. Loved him as a player, was a standout under Sturrock, good winger, goals in him. Started going wrong when he got jailed for affray after he beat up some bloke outside a Southend nightclub. He got the conviction reduced to community service and massive fine.
None of that looked like it phased him on the field, what did seem to was other clubs bidding for him. The final straw came when he refused to play after Blackpool bid £250k for him. Sturrock kept him out of the team after that, saying 'Ryan's head is not in a place to play for Southend United anymore' we loaned him to Leeds and they ended up buying him - only played about 3 games for them before they realised he was not the player they had seen at Southend.

Someone said is he the one who loved the media? - I don't think he does, but it might stem from when Leeds released him and he basically went round to anyone and everyone saying how great he was. Clearly no one listened as he ended up back at Bromley - on the bench! He's been round the houses since, never been a first team regular anywhere.

If Luton can get the best out of him ability wise they have just got the best winger in the division, but it's his attitude of the last 2/3 years that seems the problem. If his attitude remains the same I'm sure Luton will play him 5-10 times then realise he's not worth the hassle before shipping him off to the next poor souls.

Obviously can't pass that much comment - but I saw a trait in him that I saw in Andre Boucaud and Kane Ferdinand. Watched his interview after the game on Saturday and he looked like a player that wasn't that bothered to be there. Now I could be totally wrong and I'd certainly be happy to be so, but just had a slight inkling.

Difference is that John Still is now his manager. He won't take any crap from no one. He has got the best and better out of this current squad. Players want to play for him. They buy into his philosophy, so if a player comes in with attitude problems, he'll turn it round.

Didn't know you had Kane Ferdinand, whats he up to these days? Southend youth product, was really good really young for Southend, got a good move to Peterborough in the Championship, played for a season in their first 11 then it all seems to have gone a bit quiet for him.

We had Danny Johnson on loan earlier in the season. Good work-rate, but only scored once for us.

The McGeehan to Luton rumour was true. He was the third player we were talking to on deadline day. Would've been interesting ahead of the Man Utd game to take their best player.

Still very hopeful of signing him in the loan window.

Are you allowed to go out on loan to two different clubs within the same window? I thought there was a rule where you could only be registered at two clubs (including the parent club) per transfer window but I might be wrong.

Funny move if it does happen though after all the talk about not wanting him on loan. Still can't see where is going to play so don't see how it helps us short-term but it will be amusing to hear Money's reaction at least.

We had him on loan for half a season this time last year. Played about 30 mins as a sub, then never got near (in fact I think he only made the bench once or twice). Still slated his attitude and froze him out.

I think he's on loan at Cheltenham currently.

Best player? We've only had him a few weeks so can't judge but he's not as good as Ryan Donaldson for one, probably Sullay Kaikai, Robbie Simpson, Harrison Dunk (arguably) are at least as good too out of our more offensive midfielders. Plus the Irish chap, Geraoid Morissey looks pretty handy too though it's too early to judge him yet.

Another typically bullshit throughaway comment from Mr End.

No need to bite laker, everybody knows the end is the most deluded poster on here, just leave him to his own "fuck yeah, I support the Luton and have a permanent hard on" world.

He was the best player on the pitch on Saturday. Simpson definitely is not and Kaikai supposedly has been inconsistent.

"Best player in one game" is a bit different to "best player". I'll adjust my original assessment - your post was either bullshit or misleading. You can choose if you like.....

McGeehan is a good player but he isn't the right player for us now in my opinion, why break up the Smith/Doyle partnership at what would be significant cost. And then we have Guttridge coming back in the attacking midfield role not to mention Pelly and dead wood like Robinson. Drury has had an upturn in form recently too so I don't see the point especially if its just a loan.

There are other areas that need addressing first, before we bring in another Central midfield player.

If those Still quotes aren't misleading then I don't think it would be just a loan, it would have to be with an agreed permanent in the summer. He repeats that he isn't interested in a loan but has kept banging on Norwich's door to get a permanent done. Perhaps their own deadline day business pushed him far enough down their pecking order to drop their quoted price.

He'd probably not be first choice for us just yet but he'd get plenty of minutes and in terms of potential he'd be miles ahead of all in our squad bar Pelly. With Guttridge always one kick away from being out for months/forever plus being pushing 33, Drury the wrong side of 30, Smith and Doyle both out of contract, and our own young midfielders nowhere near developed enough, I'd take McGeehan in a heart beat even if it wouldn't be until next season when he really forced his way into the team. McGeehan has a higher ceiling than any of our current midfielders even if he isn't at their levels yet, it would be a signing building for our future (hopefully in League One).

All that said, I'm still super skeptical about it. Those quotes from Still published yesterday seem very ambiguous and at no point does he state outright that McGeehan was the deal we were trying to get done on deadline day but couldn't get the paperwork done in time. We'll see soon enough I guess.

I don't think McGeehan is the guy he was trying to sign on deadline day. This saga has been ongoing since the summer. We all know we are trying to bring McGeehan in and I don't think that will change

If its a loan with permanent to follow at a reasonable price I.e. Not the figures that were being bandied about before, then count me in, all for it.

Just a loan then don't see the point.

Still very skeptical about it all being actually true.

The saga has been ongoing since the summer but the Outlaws rumour is that we tried to get a deal done on deadline day (presumably just to annoy Money). That is sort of backed up by the latest Still interview although he leaves it ambiguous. I guess we will find out when the loan window reopens next week.

Ryan Bird has rejected a move despite being told he is surplus to requirements.

Richard Money said: "He had an option to move late in the window, but turned it down. We've told him we think it's time for him to move on, but it's not happened yet and while that's the case he'll still be involved with the group."

We've signed Jordan slew after his release from Blackburn on a 18 month deal.
