Dunno then, because we've just signed one of them on loan and DC's basically said he'd like a CM and ST.

Maybe we were interested in him before the loan came in.

Kellan Gordon has gone back to Derby. Another one whose minutes were generally found in the cup games.

Pete O'Rourke at HITC reporting several Championship sides want to sign Tom James before the end of the window.

Not a surprise, in Pete's words James is "one of the best young players in the football league" and I wouldn't disagree. West Brom (again), PNE and Swansea all sniffing around.

We are reportedly interested in Lewis McGugan according to Alan Nixon on twitter. I remember he was class for Forest years ago but looks like his career has stalled since then.

Cobblers fans how did he do for you? Best position?

The Mcgugan one was weird really. Showed flashes that clearly demonstrated his massive talent. But when the ball is flying over his head all the time is that what you need in the lower leagues? I would have happily kept him, but hes not going to get around the pitch particularly. Play him as a 10 I would suggest, scored an absolute belter of a volley for us. Set pieces etc are all quality. Just seems odd he has barely played the last few years.

we just signed Arthur Gnahua from Shrewsbury. Don't know anything about him, not even sure of his position seeing as BBC calls him a midfielder, news and star call him a winger, Shrewsbury call him a forward.

Macc fans might know a bit more.

Winger/forward. Been on loan at AFC Fylde and they wanted to extend the deal (but Shrewsbury wanted him to leave permanently), so he must have done alright. Don't think he's a regular goalscorer though.

He was used on the left of a front 3 for us the season before he signed for Shrewsbury. Hit 15 goals from that position. Great player who can dribble and glide past defenders. Give him game time and he can be a success in league 2 in sure.

Pace is the main concern, though ability to actually do something with that pace is of course important, the way we play at the moment, provided we keep playing that way, any striker without pace would just be a spectator. I mean if we can't properly replace the likes of Nadesan, Yates and Sowerby then we'll have to change, but since the creative players Hope, Devitt and Grainger have become accustomed to having willing runners in front of them it's something we'd like to just continue. When we first signed Nadesan he had pace but was lacking proper striker's qualities, he has since acquired those other qualities, hence Fleetwood wanting him back.

Mark Harris from Cardiff is the striker weve been after, and expected to sign on loan tomorrow. I think he played for Newport earlier this season.

Scored a couple and can play out wide. Looks a decent signing potentially and trained today with the squad I believe.

Another striker hopefully to follow later in the week.

Winger (left sided I think but could be wrong) . I think he showed some decent signs in the Conference but could never get a run of games in the first team. Seemingly he's done better since leaving us, as the comments above would suggest.

Billy Knott throwing some hints on Twitter tonight with clips of his time at Vale and a thinking emoji... wonder if he is possibly set to return.

Hopefully his spell out of the FT game at Concord has got his head right and he's ok now.

He's come back to us on loan until the end of the season. Any reason why he didnt get in your team as I thought he would be easily good enough for League 2?

Just brought in as back-up.

Only 8 appearance and of those only 3 were league sub appearance I imagine. Not too many minutes but there was certainly nothing to suggest he is easily good enough for L2 or better than what we had available.

Wharton being recalled by Blackburn soon, probably this week, according to their local paper.

Doing the rounds that he is Bury bound, is a left sided Center Half by any chance?

Yep, and a very good one too.

Unlucky here due to Shackell's availability towards the end of the August window so he's not really had a look in, bar cup games.

Be a weird situation for him and I'm not sure we'd be too chuffed him swapping clubs a few days before the game!

Won't be at the game, no. Got plans but done Bury a few times down the years - and lost on most occasions with the odd draw IIRC!

Apparently Hayden White broke his leg and not his foot. We are looking for a replacement.
