What the fuck is going on? Who have you match Mansfield in the market for?

Im so confused, why have you gone so defensive, what did I say that’s upset you? You lot are off the rails!

I am also now confused :bg: Don’t think anyone’s gone off the rails!

Adam Phillips signs on loan as expected. 1 more signing and that's us sorted. A striker or another midfielder by the sounds of it, really liking the look of our squad now.

What is Paul Lewis like Cambridge fans? He is on trial apparently.

He wasn't good but he wasn't bad either. Squad player at best in this league. Arrives late in the box and get's the odd goal. Good in the air and loves a rash challenge.

I was pleased he was released so that says it all really.

If anybody takes ‘Tranmere have bags now’ as a dig, and start making comparisons of Mansfield and Tranmere commercial department purely because I support Mansfield, in forum terms they have definitely gone off the rails :lol::lol:

Nothing against Tranmere, ever, and I reckon they will be competitive next season, They just took it the wrong way I think.

"Even though I broke my leg, still loved every minute". Bit weird.

does that translate as "I played less than 90mins - but got paid for the full season"? - some other players would be....
But being serious though - it looks like FGR looked after him well whilst he was injured - which probably means he was happy (in the circumstances) to have been at FGR.

All players are paid in full while injured. Some players are kept in the loop and are welcomed around the club.

One premier manager tells them to stay away until he is nearly ready to return...

I know they are - I think the reason he's happy is because FGR showed an interest in his condition all the time - and probably didn't tell him to stay away... so he didn't have to deal with the situation alone.

Yeah I think that sums it up pretty well. He was kept involved and was often at games supporting the side, mixing with fans etc.

Thought it was a pretty classy leaving message given getting released in the current climate is a tough situation to be left in, having been out so long.

Really don’t know for sure. He 100% played Saturday against Nuneaton. It looks likely that Isgrove won’t sign a new contract so a fit and functioning Williams would be a good replacement.

Pretty much what I said yesterday, I can't imagine he got a payoff from Bradford that would be significant enough for him to take a big pay cut at Tranmere.

Yes, F-I-R-T-H-Y and @WestYorksAgent on Twitter mentioned you had to pay him 700k. Has now been confirmed.

Load of nonsense. Why would we pay him £700k. We might has well have made him train with the kids for 2 years and pay his wages. Mind you, we are talking about a chairman who has zero interest in football and hasnt a clue how to run one

I’m confused. Why did Tranmere need to make redundancies? With that in mind, them splashing the cash seems a bit distasteful.

To be fair as far as I know, Mansfield and it’s tiny commercial department have not made one redundancy, so we’ve got that over our new Rivals Tranmere :)

We had to make redundancies to protect the playing budget. We are a football club after all.

It is a bit rich Bolton and Bury supporters having digs at our financial probity....

Making redundancies of non-playing staff in the current climate isn't unique to Rovers, for example it's happening at promoted Plymouth too. We've let a lot go on the playing side as well, currently 16 players + 3 first year pros on the books

Probably because Bolton have made redundancies every time they've been relegated, and had their staff eating out of food banks not so long back. Just a hunch.
I Believe both Barrow and Tranmere have both been in Administration......pot calling kettle springs to mind

Arsenal have just laid off 55 people and are spending all that money on Willian. Plymouth made redundancies and are still getting players in. The list goes on.

You know full well why we would have to make redundancies in order to protect next season’s playing budget and the fact you’re making that comment to have a dig at us and using people’s hardship as a way of making us out as the world’s worst club says more about you than it does about any of us.

You're the one calling Tranmere's transfer dealings into question. The rest of us are capable of understanding where they're coming from.
