A random Birmingham fan on twitter has said we’ve agreed a season loan for Odin Bailey. Would be very pleased with that if true.

Where did he play for you FGR fans?

Generally either wide left or no.10. Skilful player, capable of the spectacular, bit inconsistent at times but has a lot of potential. Got a good free kick on him too.

100%, so glad to see some sense being g spoken. The fact he wanted to move back down south may go some way towards explaining why the last few games weren't great. I think he'll find League Two quite easy, should be a great signing for Orient.

Excellent to hear the positivity! We already have Adam Thompson as a League One standard CB, so it’ll be nice to have some genuine quality at the back. What sort of CB is Beckles? Ball-playing, quick, thuggish etc...

Very calm in possession. Rarely dives in but is always looking to play the ball. Certainly not a thug but can hold his own. I'm surprised he's dropped down a league but, being an East London lad it makes total sense!

Carlisle fans, Macaulay Gillesphey, any good? Seems highly rated down under but how was he before he left for Australia?

Looks like we are signing Joel Dixon today after all as Gilks number 2. Surprised he’s given up first team football to be back up for a season unless he’s been promised progression into the team. Seem to remember Barrow fans saying he was bang average..??

If it’s the same one that was at Bolton he looked a really good young player when we had him. Our youth coaches were fuming when he was released by Parky (I think it was). It was when we were in the shit financially.

Not necessarily bang average (as that sounds negative), just not stand-out at League 2 level. He's pretty steady and reliable, a good shot stopper, his kicking's better than most at this level and he can play the short game that Evatt likes from his keepers. If he knows he's likely to take over from Gilks at the end of the season, he might be happy to bide his time.

Think it was done and dusted for him to come to us last month........Seems Barrow have upped there offer putting doubts into his head. The longer it goes i guess the odds are that he will resign for you.

According to news reports today he’s signing for us plus Barrow have signed Farman and he was number 1 at Carlisle. Can’t see him choosing Barrow to be a number 2.

Impressed with how Walsall, Orient & Barrow have gone about their business so far. Exciting managerial appointments, some real quality players brought in so far for the level & if they carry on with the same ambition as they've been showing since business resumed they'll be right up there

Before he went to Australia he was a decent player at this level, lots of potential but hampered by Newcastle keeping hold of him for too long and not loaning him out. I imagine he'll need some time to get back up to speed, don't think the standard of football is too good down there. With a bit more ambition he could have made it to the Championship but has been a bit of a poster boy for taking the easy option and lacking in experience.

Josh was good last season we turned down an offer for him from Burton last summer this season he lost his way big time very poor but theres a player in there he could do well for you if he can get his old form back some of our fans are writing him off a bit prematurely for me.

Connor Wood confirmed just now. Opinions of him Bradford fans?
Good player. Lightning quick and got a great cross on him.

His biggest issue is stopping crosses coming in but generally his 1v1 defending is sound.

I would've kept him even though he was below par last season but I think he wanted a move back down south.

You have got yourself a good player for this level. Popular up here during his 3 years with us

Sound defensively, capable of putting some tempting crosses from the left flank when overlapping. A consistent 7/10 every week for him. The fact he played 80 consecutive games for us the last 2 seasons Is testament to his consistency

No secret he was getting homesick in Yorkshire, especially since pandemic started.

A good signing for you

Got a lot of time for Josh. A very hard worker who will sacrifice himself for the team, chase balls all day or drop deep and try to link it. But when it comes to the "striking instinct" you would like, he just doesn't have it. A pretty poor finisher all together, I expect him to get between 5 and 10 for you next season. Likely to be your Aaron Collins esque forward that Mark Cooper would want - team first, hard worker and can create but doesn't score many. Feel bottom end League 2 may be his level, but I hope he kicks on and finds the form that had us turning down bids. Think he had his head turned the whole of last season and even turned down a new deal at Christmas - 6 months later and we are releasing him he had been that poor.

Best of luck to Wood, it wasn’t an easy listen last year when he had an interview in which he admitted to being lonely during the pandemic. He also gave the generic speak about being open to a new contract, but I felt he didn’t want to stay up north. Hopefully he can find his form again from his second season with us. Think he needs to regain his passion for the game a bit, I maybe being a bit harsh but it felt like his heart wasn’t always in it last season but I think he just wanted to be closer to family and friends.

We might actually be signing a player!

Alex Kenyon, previously of Morecambe. No idea if he's any good but it's a start.

He's a battler, will just sit in front of the defence and get stuck in, will do a job for you. He would've been playing every week for us probably if it wasn't for Yann being brilliant every game.

Glad he's got another league 2 club if true, a really nice bloke as well.

If he actually tries then that's a huge improvement on the rest of our team, he's apparently having a medical today.

We’ve appointed Colin Calderwood as our assistant gaffer.

Managed us to promotion donkeys years ago, was most recently assistant at Blackpool as they won the playoffs. Very happy with the appointment, experienced head next to Brady.

Randell Williams who left us at the end of the season signs for Hull City.

If he shows his quality from the 19/20 season he should do well for them. However, if he carries over his 20/21 form, he won’t last long in the championship
