Extended Aden Flint contact untill 2025, I’m pretty sure we signed him on a initial one year with a option for a second so we’ve either activated that clause or because it’s become so obvious he’s the best defender in the league by a margin he’s got better terms.

Usually you’d always be weary of saying there aren’t better players out there, surely there has to be, in this instance not likely.

If anyone in this league has anyone close to flint they’re lucky.
Agree with you both 100%.
Not often you notice a defender of an opposition team as a standout but both games against us he’s been on another level, even on Boxing Day where you didn’t have a lot of defending to do i kept noticing him in our box winning pretty much every header he went for.
I haven’t seen every defender of every team of course but of all the games I’ve seen this season Flint is miles ahead of anybody else.

Did he not start much then mate the fans of ours being negative are saying he's played 18 games?
I don’t recall 18 games - as he was largely anonymous. Substitutions and dreadful tactics from our anti football manager might have ruined it for him. League 2 and new players and he might flourish.

Your best player against us by an absolute mile.
Bizarrely hasn't had a look in from Alexander yet got his chance on Tuesday at Derby and was the best player on the pitch.

Got lots of comments against a near full Derby team on Tuesday, he’s certainly our most talented player by far. Carlisle would be better going for him while we’re selling the family silver.

If Pointon leaves to you or anyone else this window, there will be civil war at this football club.

Don't know if there's any genuine interest there or not. I heard it at work this morning that someone had gotten it from one of your forums.

Rob Apter extending his contract at Blackpool and returning to Rovers on loan for the rest of the season being reported by a couple of ITKs on a Rovers forum. Good news if true, even though we're likely to be a shop window for those richer clubs looking to buy him in the summer. It may be than the sad passing of Peter Johnson, who rescued TRFC from oblivion, is a factor in delaying any confirmation, but the information seems relatively sound.

Otherwise a few murmurings but nothing concrete. Adkins has said previously that a lot of the action takes place towards the end of the window and it doesn't look like anything else imminent on the arrivals front.

Definitely fancy you for an outside shot of the playoffs if you can get Apter back and keep him fit for the rest of the season. Would be massive for you.

Thought I'd put this here.

Jefferson Louis has just made his 52nd transfer move. This must be a record!

I think four clubs in league 2 have had the pleasure of Jeff's company but that without looking it up.

I don’t think it’s even close, Flint was doing it for Wednesday last season and could still do a job top end L1.

Not scored many as you hope but our set-pieces have generally been abysmal so cannot judge too harshly.

Bradford fans is there any possible truth that we're taking Bobby Pointon on loan ?

I remember when Bradford used to play us in pre season to help us out financially and now we're above them in the league so I would be really disappointed if I supported them. Am sure they will get it right sooner or later

No chance. Just a disgruntled City fan on social media with a sarcastic dig at the hierarchy at the club I suspect.

I would imagine you have a more realistic chance of getting Jack Diamond back

J-Lo is a legend, he will be still playing when he's 50.

Top player.

I think you're right, 4 in this division (FGR, Crawley, Wrexham and Mansfield) and three in the division above (Lincoln, Oxford and Brizzle Rovers)

Thank christ.

I liked Waters at Halifax but for whatever reason it just hasn't worked out for him. Hopefully he can do well at Doncaster and get a permanent move somewhere in the summer.
Billy Waters has always reminded me of Kevin Gall.

I was going to reply to Conker in a similar way to what Fish has said in the bolded bit, it's unusual for defenders to stand out to the extent that they look miles above anyone else.

We signed Jason Shackell in L2 and I used to watch him and wonder how on earth a player can just look so unflustered and so much better than anyone else. Didn't even break into a sweat, he was so far ahead of everyone else in his head he seemed to be in position before the ball was even played by the opposition.

Wonder if Richard Pacquette has moved with him again!

We played those two up front for their debuts in a 3-3 draw with Braintree and both scored with J'Lo scoring after 40 seconds. They were absolutely chaotic between the both of them.

We're being linked with a permanent move for Paul Glatzel. Any good (when not injured) Tranmere fans?

Wouldn't bet the mortgage on it. GA has history of loaning out the best player at a club. :bang:
and Bradford seem to have history of giving away players (in the January window) that are better than anyone else they have available;- Niall Canavan being a good example.

We've confirmed the signing of Alex Gorrin who was out of contract at Oxford. Good experienced midfielder but hasn't played much in the last couple of years due to ACL injuries etc.

The wing back we are interested in is Connor Barrett from Fylde apparently.
