Reckon you must have had more goalkeepers than we’ve got points this season?

The problem is our no.1 Daniels is old and seems injury prone (not helped by the fact he barely played for the last 3 years before we signed him) and we have a 'false' no.2, Searle to exploit the EFL loophole of being allowed an emergency loan providing your registered keepers have less then 5 pro appearances.

That gave us the chance to get Belshaw in for 14 games earlier in the season (who was superb) but once Daniels was back fit his loan ended, which was unfortunate. We then signed Simkin on loan from Stoke in January who Deeney promised would play but then was sacked one game later, meaning he's since been dropped and gone back to train with Stoke and play for their u21's but the loan was kept open in case we needed him. So we could have used him now, but he's managed to get injured in training at Stoke and is out for 4-6 weeks too which leaves us needing to get another emergency loan, this time Reyes. Our other young keeper Pagel is out on loan

Whats the point having Searle if he is not being played when you have nobody else?

I think Searle is our 'fake no.2' so we can exploit this loophole.

But if he wasnt there at all, wouldn't you still be able to apply for an emergency loan as there is nobody else left? Total lack of ambition from the players in question though when they should have played many games at that age

If he wasn't there at all we'd have had no one to come off the bench when Daniels was stretchered off v Mansfield.

We’ve allowed a couple of our youth team players to go out on loan as players come back from injury and have signed Maxime Biamou on a short term deal.
I would imagine he’s cover for Ironside

No downside to Biamou short term but over 2 years out the game through injury and now at age 33 makes it unlikely he’ll have an impact. In his favour he was never quick and was a decent target/grafter. Wish him well. Very popular, Coventry love him and think he’s continued watching their games.

is Knight a goalie - because if it's not an emergency goalkeeper loan i don't know how you can sign anyone outside the transfer window on loan.
Also i'm assuming Kane was a free agent?

Apparently they signed him in January but just didn't tell anyone.

Itchy chin.

We'd already signed Knight, he was in our U21 squad list submission after the Jan window. We just didn't announce him as he was injured.

Kane is a free agent and has been training with us for a few weeks.

Stockport dubious-transferring their way to promotion, is it?

It’s a signing from Manchester City so I am certain it’s been done in line with the league rules!

Takes their squad to a nice round 40.

Challinor can't fail now surely, the man gets everything he asks for.

While Mansfield are running one of the smallest sides in the division we’ve got Stockport assembling one of the biggest concentration of manpower since the Eastern front in WW2.

Mansfield are a small elite fighting group on whereas our bunch are drafted soviets to make up the numbers - given two rifles each but sold the dream of victory.

Mansfield still in the driving seat - got to back the Stags Spetznaz and their thug general in Clough to roll over our big squad of dreamers.

Quantity has a quality all of its own.

Aka The Grimsby method.

How's Aaron Hayden doing these days Wrexham fans?

We have been linked with him as his contract run out soon and we're in desperate need of a whole new defence.

For the past three seasons every time he has a run in the team he gets Injured for a lengthy period. That's why he's barely played this season.

Good player when fit but never fit- so I'm sure he'd be available.

Fans forum last night, Swindon offered Louis Reed to us January 2023 for £25,000. What a piece of business that’s been.

One of our youngsters has gone to Gateshead on loan. Sonny Fish. A strapping centre forward.

Only seen him pre season friendlies but he looks to lead the line well and can score goals. Not 100% sure why Gateshead as he doesn't really suit their style.

Maybe they play in Pink & Black (music joke).
