Jealous of that one.
The Huddersfield fans don’t seem as positive all be it that’s mostly two leagues above for them.

Can never judge I guess, Oldham fans told us Garrity was rubbish and he’s probably been the best signing we’ve made this decade in terms of value paid and how crucial he is to us.

Plymouth fans told us Connor Grant was a great signing in L1 for us and he’s been a terrible one. (Probably his Vale career done with this signing I would assume).

To be fair, I can only comment on his performances against us whilst on loan at Harrogate.

He was the best wing back I saw that season by far.

Never judge someone by how they perform for Harrogate.

Luke Armstrong looked like Erling Haaland and Jack Diamond looked like Eden Hazard against us in Harrogate shirts. But both played like shit for Carlisle.

Embleton is a class signing for us! He’s absolute streets ahead of L2 and by far the best midfielder in this league.

If we don’t finish in the top seven now then I’ll request to be banned off this forum!!

If we finish in the top 7 this season, I’ll buy you any brand new car of your choice.

Owen Evans has gone on loan to Barnet for the rest of the season after losing his place to our goalkeeper coach. We've recalled a 16 year old to sit on the bench.

Not a clue, that’s about 700 wing backs we have now so assume one is going. Made a fair few apps in the Championship so hopefully something about him.
We are short at left wing back, Shorrock isn`t ready but has played a lot of games and has cost us plenty of times. Hopefully his lad will stay fit.

Many of the Twitter comments I’ve seen are better going forward than defensively. Daz won’t stand for any of that going forward nonsense from him.

Townsend off to Cheltenham is the rumour down here. Not playing this evening and we have just signed a keeper which adds up. Day v Townsend 2.0.

Sentiment about them being part of the promotion team aside, do find it funny L2 teams watched our defence last season and have gone ‘yeah we’ll have him’ for Cameron and Baldwin when they were basically going viral every week for tripping over their clown shoes

St Johnstone look ridiculous for signing a player on loan, making him captain immediately, then taking the captaincy off him, then cancelling his loan all in the space of 4 months

We got Baldwin in really early which is quite worrying.

I will say it again we pulled your pants down when we swapped cb's in the summer the worrying thing is that you guys signed a guy who helped ship 86 goals last season

Can't disagree with this at all. One of the worst downgrades in history.

Did you pay money for him then ?

He's had a superb spell at Newport , always rated him with us but many didn't - a neat and tidy player who gives 100% at this level and scores the odd worldy seems a great signing for Harrogate .
Yes, "an undisclosed fee" He will have to be Harry Houdini if we are to escape the drop this season.

Not expecting him to be the answer to all our problems to be fair. But would rather us take a punt on someone younger, playing well and regularly a level or two below than some journeyman who's been sat on a bench elsewhere.
Absolutely hopeless in L2 for us but he might've kicked on since then

Interesting if true.

We thought the club were just being cheapskates and freeing up funds knowing Day is set as number 1. Is Townsend a decent keeper? I know nothing of him.

Will be interesting to see what clubs do , It's become apparent this first half of the season just lobing money at it hasn't worked as the league table suggests the most money on players doesn't = glory which is slightly refreshing unless you support Gillingham, MK Dons or Carlisle

I know absolutely nothing about these two but I'm feeling in a good mood today so...

Fletcher to Barrow: GOOD SIGNING
Headley to Vale: GOOD SIGNING

Fletcher's stats this season look good but NLN to L2 is always a risk. It's the sort of signing we'd get wrong but Barrow would get right though.

Hope your knowledge of these incomings is better than your horror knowledge m8.
How dare you!

Certainly spending big again that one won’t be cheap he only jointed in summer.

From looks of it was superb in L1 last season not good in this although I’d say their change of style since managerial change will be as drastic as ours.

Will do business at this level IF he gets form back
Meant to reply to this at the time but didn't for some reason but Embleton played once in L1 last season. It was 21/22 when he had a good season for Sunderland there. I've got a lot of Blackpool supporting mates and their reaction to offloading Embleton ranged from the champagne emoji to offers of lifts for the lad.

Consensus amongst Blackpool fans seems to be that he was excellent on loan with them a few years ago but struggled this time. Bruce’s 442 didn’t suit him at all. He was injured for the bulk of last season, hence only playing twice for Derby.

3 midfielders in so far in Patching, Embleton and Whelan.

I really don't think they can be any worse than our current lot (Guy excluded).

Like I said before, I know a lot of Pool fans and I've watched a fair bit of them over the last decade or so and the consensus wasn't that he was excellent during that loan spell. He had an absolute blinder of a game against Oxford in the playoffs and did well against Lincoln in the final in the COVID season and I think that papered over the fact that he was a bit average for them. He was very good for Sunderland when they went up to the Championship by all accounts though. We'll see on him, could definitely go either way for you but for me it's not the nailed on top signing that many in this thread seem to be suggesting.

A decent L2 keeper, good shot stopper but weak on crosses, not the tallest for a keeper. Was generally a back up to Day and King but has been first choice past couple of seasons. Also being linked with Solihull.
