I definitely think some Notts fans are kidding themselves about how much we’ll miss him and as we all know there’s no loyalty in football, but after reading that interview he can fuck right off. He’s obviously found his fucking happy place.

It’s weird innit, we support these clubs and these players without most of us ever knowing what they’re really like, but I think most of us were of the opinion that he was a twat so it’s nice to have those thoughts confirmed. And I liked him more than most.

We have Nemane on the right hand side who he’s come out and said he has a really good relationship with and a position we’ve been struggling with that he slots right into. Unlike Kelly, Crowley seems to have a head start already.

In a team that finished in the bottom half of the table and threatened records for conceding goals, but yes.

Listened to the latest Price of football pod earlier, they chat about Star Lizard (mainly about Brighton’s scouting) but how Grimsby are their L2 side.

What's he said?

Stockport County.
Crowley is a very good player. If it is something like 300k, fair play it is a lot for someone out of contract in the summer but having seen League One close up, 300 grand doesn't get you as much as you'd think these days.

What's he said?

been talking to MK all season and when we played them in December it was ‘an audition’ to impress them and when January came around he said ‘let’s get this done’.

He’s now posted some long loving Insta post about how much Notts made him ‘fall in love with football’ but turned the comments off which sums it up really

He’s always come across as proper weird on and off the pitch.

Going to be annoying when he plays like Iniesta at Meadow Lane in April. I might even boo him when he bags his brace.

Speak for yourself, whenever one of my colleagues makes a sideways move in the finance sector, I also post snake emojis on their LinkedIn post
People change jobs all of the time, usually for either better pay or prospects. Hope you didn't send Platty a snake emoji when he decided you offered him better prospects than us.

He came to reinvent himself as a ball playing libero on the lush Meadow Lane pastures and any rumours around an enhanced compensation and benefits package are merely coincidental

Yep we've partnered up with them. Can't really see us seeing the benefits of that this window as we don't seem to have much in the way of budget but could be an interesting summer for us.

Edit: It's actually Jamestown Analaytics that we've teamed up with, not sure if they're somehow affiliated with Starlizard or if we're just being mentioned as they both work with Brighton.

Curzon Ashton....and Carlisle
I don’t understand the hope with Crowley, he’s 27 had 13-14 clubs only played in dribs and drabs for the majority of them and realistically has been dropping further and further down pyramid as it goes along.

Just suggest a short term fix gap that will lead to him dropping down another level to conference

I haven't even been thinking about relegation since that fans forum, what I've seen is the outside chance of automatic promotion if we win every remaining game which would have us finish on 84 points and that would at least guarantee us a play off spot surely.

With these new signings coming in now we'll be set up pretty nicely for L1 if we are to get promoted.

You're clearly taking the piss, but even so I do believe that your expectations of our new signings are a little bit OTT.

Paul Dummett is a good player but has hardly played recently.
Cedwyn Scott has never scored a goal at football league level.
Callum Whelan is a good national league player - remains to be seen if he can step up. But promising for next season regardless...
Sean Fusire has zero experience
Elliot Embleton is probably the pick of the bunch on paper but has suffered injury problems recently which is alarming.
Will Patching has been good in Ireland but hasn't proved anything at this level.
Stephen Wearne? Well MK Dons fans say he's shit, which might be meaningless but there could be something in it.

If you think these players are going to come in and suddenly make the worst team in the football league a competitive top half standard team, you're deluded I'm afraid.

We turned that trend around. His dribs and drabs win games as we saw last season and this.

Delighted and surprised to get the reported money for him.

I don't think he's actually shit, he's just somehow lost the ability to score goals. His work rate when on the pitch seemed good and he actually likes to move the ball forwards which often MW teams can lack.

Yeah, I think Maguire got slightly mixed up, Jamestown is the company that does scouting analytics and whatnot, Starlizard is other data stuff i think.

Is Cowley going to take Kelly's place?

Can we have Kelly back please? Our corners free kicks (and general play) have been poor this season and he is the one player we sold in the summer that is a noticeable loss.

I don't think anybody seriously believes we're going to be a top half team, but these signings should improve us.
Ian Harte hadn't played much when we signed him, Andy Cook had never scored a goal in the EFL till he signed for Tranmere, Whelan isn't just National League experience as he made approx 80 appearances for Oldham in L2.
I'm confident we can escape relegation with the signings so far ( and more to come?).

To stay up we'll need to become pretty much a top half standard team. We'll likely need about 30 points from 22 games.

Aint gonna happen.
