IF we could get Wilson off the wagebill for 6 months aswell it would be a decent January for me , even if we don't sign anyone as they must be 2 of the highest earners that just never seemed to play - I actually didn't mind them as much as some on their day it was just never often enough due to injury and other issues . I imagine we will bring 1 in maybe but can't see anymore than that . Well it isn't if that player doesn't exist. There's about 16 clubs in this league with bigger budgets than us and none of them have managed to get a centre back better than Mickey Demetriou so I wouldn't fancy our chances. £300k is not enough money if it costs us promotion.

I always liked him at Harrogate, although he was a bit of a goal hanger. It all started to go wrong with the Wrexham debacle. It's a shame it didn't work out for him at Carlisle, there is a good player in there with the right manager and system of play.

Always caused us problems when he played for you. Shame how it's worked out, as at one point I'd have gone as far as saying he was one of best strikers in League Two.

I think Armstrong is smart in one respect and a worry in another.

I don’t think he’s a bad striker just badly out of form and joined wrong club at wrong time.

It is a loan he can maybe go elsewhere get new confidence and possibly come back a different player.

But on flip side we are a club who cannot score goals and our ‘brains’ at the top decide to leave us with a youth and two long term injured crocks as our ‘attack’ for the relegation battle.

I suppose at least it can mean our plan to play 2-8-0 and pass the ball side to side for 90 minutes to maybe scrape a draw could happen
