Ask MK Dons fans. Matt Dennis, just left MK on deadline day.

Actually, I can tell you what they’ll say… He’s shit.
He is shit, but was injured most of the time. Still young and showed some promise but far too injury prone and FAR too inconsistent. As a cheap option on a free not bad for non-league though, can see him banging them in down there.

So they talk about physicality this and physicality that.

This signing has all the markings of Williamson so how’s he going to be any different

Connor wickham is the next rumour to join ‘squad number 3’ at the Carlisle revolution.

See all these other high spending clubs buy 2-3 clubs in order to have their numerous squads we are clearly that massive we just have them all at one club!

We have ‘injured and crocked united’

We have ‘totally overspent on utter worthless crap’ united

And also ‘the other ones left united’

At least at this rate by 2027 we could have ourselves a 24 team league

I guess you could just buy every single free agent on the market and hope that one or two of them come good?

The next one is our last one. We only have one squad space left.

The fact we're scrambling around for free agents after spending god knows how much in january on 11 signings goes to show what an absolute shambolic shit show our recruitment has been. And I've seen some people suggest our january business was good:dk:

I am pretty sure they could easily have done a blackadder series with Carlisle united this season.

Blackadder as manager, Melcherd as chairman, baldrick as director of football with another ‘cunning plan’ to turn it all around.

It tells you how awful our June planning was in January and how awful our January planning was fact we are in February and already trying to re build the January rebuild

I will add this tiny bit of positive……at least connar wickham makes sense for once!! If it’s just short term and not long term madness

Experienced old head probably will scrap on his last chance type you need for a dogfight not kids.

Hasn't he only played like 3 months in 1 and a half seasons now so the issue is how long will it take to get him up to full match fitness? That said if he gets you 5-6 wins out the last 10 then that might be enough.

That is why I said short term only, we have probably Morecambe entire squad worth of wages sat long term injured currently in 5-6 players who have been out nearly all season so I don’t want to add another.

But he’s been playing for Sunderland u21’s I think it was recently been playing some games maybe not far off match fit…..nowt to lose on a short term contract.

But to go into January offload the only player with a history of scoring at this level, replace him with a man united youth and 8 midfielders and the wonder now why you cannot score!!

Worked for FGR didn't it? Worth a shot.

It did to be fair, think that was early season though because he played us at VP.

As I said i guess even if only fit for the last 10 games and gets them a few goals to grab a 4-5 wins and a couple of draws that might make all the difference.

Surprised this hasn’t been posted already tbh. This is huge news for us and shows the owners/clubs ambition considering Dobra has been attracting top end league 1 & championship interest for a while now. Apparently been in talks with Dobra for around 6 months as he wanted to be sure our ambition matched his moving forward.

With these owners & this manager we are in the best place we’ve been as a club probably ever, definitely in my supporting the club which stretches back to the mid 00’s.

Hang on, so was Dobra out contract in the summer when all the Chesterfield fans were saying you were gonna get £2M+ for him in Jan?

Or it could mean you expect to sell him in the summer but now can ask for more

Regardless as to whether he goes or not, as covered above by spireite, what it means is we’re just in a stronger position to negotiate a higher fee now than we were.

But, he wouldn’t have signed it if he didn’t have every intention of staying put for the foreseeable would he.

Actually he could, we had the same situation with Ben Whiteman, he signed a new contract with us to ensure we got a fee for him, a thank you if you like from him to the club. I still find it amusing that fans of lower league clubs assume that because a player signs a new contract it means their value goes up. All it means is you don’t have to sell them it doesn’t mean other clubs will pay vast amounts for them. Clubs will just contact the agent who will turn the players head and push a deal through regardless of how much you think they are worth.
