Troy Archibald-Henville has turned down an offer from an SPL club. Apparently the offer was to take over his contract which as far as I know is a regular contract, the whole reason he signed for us in the first place was that we'd offered him a proper contract rather than pay as you play or non-contract terms. I'd have assumed that anyone wanting to sign him would have had to make a transfer request to us but apparently not, no money was offered to us apparently.

In any case Keith Curle decided the best thing to do was rather than keep this secret from Troy and risk the club approaching him directly, let him know that there'd been interest but we didn't want him to leave, and Troy said he didn't want to leave either so well done that man.

Amazed Skarz has dropped back down to this level. Quality player, really solid defensively and good going forward. Integral part of the promotion-winning side last year and looked very comfortable in the Championship but our manager has since lost the plot and turned into a fucking idiot. You now have 2 good ex-defenders of ours along with the legend Johnny Mullins.

Joe Skarz signed from Rotherham on a free, has started 17 games in the Championship this season so hopefully will do well at League 2.

Holmes was poor for us this season but half of that is probably down to falling out with a manager who is likely to get the boot soon.

As far as I am concerned with the exception of Chesterfield away last season Holmes has been a poor player since we signed him. He would more often than not run down the wing with his arms out like a little girl, into a dead end try to cut back and then lose the ball, never rated him and I am glad to be rid of him, if he does well for you good for him and even better for you. As we have seen with Hollands though a player on loan playing for their future generally does tend to do well then for whatever reason turn into crap players once signed on a permanent deal.
