Trying to be as unbiased as I can, I think we could have had 2 or 3. But so could Manchester Blue.
Flints (I think) header on the line was incredible.

A moment of really poor defending from Bristol there. First they were completely open in the middle, then the backline seemingly forgot how to defend. Should have looked for the offside the moment De Bruyne picked up the ball in the middle and kept the line, but they did the exact opposite and there you go. It's a goal ten times out of ten when you play like that.

Like Wolves in a previous round certainly been unfazed at the Etihad and shown no fear.

Not much the defence could have done about that. Had they come out of position to meet De Bruyne they would have left a forward through on goal. No idea where Bristol City's midfield was, De Bruyne had acres to run into.

It's a difficult situation but one of the centre backs drops off for no reason at all when the rest of the line was still holding right before KDB released. It was poor whichever way you look at it.

Cannot see Man City sitting back on that lead so will Bristol City play it patiently and try to hit them on the break themselves to get the goal they need .

Devastating to lose so late but immensely proud of the team.
Most of the problems they caused us were self inflicted from us conceding possession cheaply in our half.
We're still in this though and I wont be able to speak tomorrow

Gutting at the end, but would definitely have taken that at the start. After a bit of a wobble following the equaliser I thought for the final 20-25 minutes we were looking pretty comfortable (not that I really felt it at the time!) Ah well. Did us proud tonight lads.

It was the one occasion our bravery backfired, we were caught pressing high up the pitch and Bravo took out half our team with one pass. Tbh we were a bit lucky on a few other occasions that Man City's end product was woeful by their standards, but you need a bit of luck and generally I thought we defended outstandingly, and had a few chances ourselves

Just got back and my throat is on fire.
I actually thought Bravo mishit that pass, didn't look like he struck the ball as clean as he'd have liked.
Frankie was immense though I have a question mark on if he could have done better for the winner, however Agueros movement for it was fantastic.
The timing of the goal is what made it so gutting, a minute or so earlier and they had been hitting the ball long to get it away, we just needed to keep them at bay another 60 seconds.

However with everything said I am now more confident we could actually go through than I was before kick off (yes, it is still incredibly unlikely). This was a very strong attacking side from Manchester with the defense rotated yet most of our troubles were caused by ourself.

If this Man City side worked on their shooting I think they'd do quite well.

I watched the first half, have to say I was impressed with City (red). So impressed I turned off at half time I don't think I've been so angry at a penalty before either. What was Stones thinking? Awful challenge, so late and so blatant. Is this really what we're taking to Russia in the summer?!

Turned back on for the final 5 minutes - safe to say all the closet "life long" City fans on facebook (we all know the types im talking about) stayed pretty quiet last night.

I said before the game to a couple of mates, if City (red) can bag an away goal and keep this within 3 goals, thats a good result. Last night, I was bloody p*ssed at City (blue) for their awful performance, but in hindsight - its perfect. A thrashing and City (red) would have turned their attention back to the league - am I right that since Utd you've lost every game?

Anyway, from what I saw though, cracking game.

Nah, after United we took 4 points from our next two games. Our bad run (if you can call it that) started afterwards. Thanks for the praise though Gassy, it can't be easy for one of your lot to give us credit.

I'm very curious to see what Guardiola will do for the replay though, surely he'll know he can't sit back on this lead, nor can he afford to put out a weakened team. Could be interesting

Not the most fluid performance from City and really shows why they need to stop dicking about and get Sanchez in. The only way to rest Aguero was to play with no striker, which really showed with some of the chances that were missed.

Clumsy from Stones for the penalty. He's been about half a yard off the pace since getting back from injury but he'd been brilliant, so I@m confident he'll be better when he gets a few games into his legs.

Second leg is going to be interesting.

Conte once again playing his weaker 352 with no Willian. Chelsea had a few chances (mainly Moses taking the better of Maïtland-Niles' down the right wing) but look so one-dimensional without the Brazilian. I wish he'd just play 3421. It is the formation that won him the league last season after all.
Not much to say about Arsenal. Been waiting for something to happen. Xhaka's dead-ball delivery has been shocking.
