What....we won? What happens now then, is there a second round? I'm not familiar with how this all works

We qualify for the Europa League now no?

Unlikly as both sides will probably be seeded in the draw.

Excellent first half performance. Second half was more like a pre season friendly. Watson looked class for us tonight.

Not 100% but don't think there's any seeding in the 2nd round?

I'm sure there is as they don't like PL clubs clashing early doors.

Who did Rotherham get beat off?

Some EFL2 side that are generally regarded as certain relegation cannon fodder this season. :ds::bye:

That said neither Morecambe beating Rotherham or opinions on a forum will make a blind bit of difference come May 2017......

......it would however be good if SERNWA bit......cmon you know you want to!! :bdick::2thumb::fish:

Nothing for anyone to bite about.
Morecambe thoroughly deserved to go through.
I thought we were going to steal it when we went 3 2 but it would have been robbery.

I know we made 8 changes and played two youth lads but they were the pick of the team to be honest and the ones out there can have no excuses.
The way Morecambe strolled thorough our defence time and again proves we have no back up.
Halford proved last year he is no centre back and he totally confirmed it last night.
Wilson was clearly not fit and shouldn't have played yet, it just got him off to a bad start with the fans.

Congratulations to Morecambe and all the other victorious Championship batterers for that matter, hope you get a plum tie next round.

Thank you for the HOME perspective.....I know Carver was on a 'fishing trip' and it wasn't necersarily me he was looking to hook but ce la vie.

We're taking a bit of a kicking in some quarters due to our relative size and far from having any semblance of Denis Wise (small man) syndrome we just need to go about our business. Apologies if i came across as anything other than a delighted supporter...off back to the Rob Dunkley Forum with me....starting to get a bit of a nose bleed. :gmc:

Lost 2-1 to Cambridge United not overly disappointed as had it not been for a 91st minute wonder goal we would be in the second round draw now. Went into extra time and Luke Berry scored another last minute goal for the U's. Some positives to take from the game like young lad Connor O'Grady getting a game and some of the fringe players getting run outs with a goal from Lucas Joao, which will hopefully get him up and running. Bigger fish to fry for us this season, onto Norwich on Saturday.

Not sure how they can do the draw tonight when they cannot know all the seedings.

If Leeds, Villa, QPR and Cardiff all win then we're seeded, if one loses we're unseeded. But Cardiff don't play their game until after the draw.

It was the first round of the League Cup against Oxford. I don't think anybody was expecting a sell out.

Barnsley – 4,455
Birmingham – 7,202
Brighton – 6,895
Derby – 11,692
Ipswich – 6,858
Preston – 4,509
Rotherham – 3,793
Wolves – 8,252
Reading – 6,979

All were low attendances. Only ours was 'absolutely pathetic'.

Luton finishing this first half well, Villa looking rattled.

As soon as their goal went in we went to pieces. The game could of been over already but Luton are still in it and looking dangerous.

Think you have that the wrong way round. If Aston Villa, Leeds and QPR all win tonight then they will all be seeds and Reading will miss out. If any of the three go out, then Reading will be a seed.

Utter shit from us again. We need to buck our ideas up, nothing has changed from last season.

My fears about Villa this season are coming to fruition, confidence still seems shattered from last season. Villa hit the woodwork a 3rd time very unlucky.

Until Villa get the defence and midfield sorted or at least organised, they are superb candidates to go down again.

I'm not expecting promotion this season but I'm expecting drastic change. We should be there or there abouts come the end but who knows.

I'd love to take the piss about Villa losing 3-1 to Luton, but that was us last season!
