And that was the first time in their history that Villa have gone out of the League Cup in the first round. Brushed aside by a club in League 2

Some decent ties drawn in the second round, expect Luton V Leeds and Burton V Liverpool to be on TV and maybe Accrington V Burnley.

Away to.... Chelsea.... or Scunthorpe. Depending on the Blue few vs Cardiff result tomorrow. How odd.

I couldn't give two shits earlier if we lost to bury.... Now I'm glad at least the players did even if the supporters did not
Liverpool next. Cracking draw

On the plus side, Hernandez was meant to be on a different level tonight. Played 120 minutes too without a pre-season so hopefully we can drive us on.

Still far from convincing though. Can't understand how we're not linked with more centre-halves.

I'll be livid if those Gas c*** win tomorrow night.

This'll be the first big cup draw we've had in our lifetime, a night at Stamford Bridge would be fantastic.

"Our lifetime" are you all about 12? Didn't you get a trip to Anfield in the mid 90s

I'm not buying it that Epic is 12.

Think the biggest draws I remember us having are Everton and Man City (before the money) in fact I'd count West Ham 2 seasons ago and West Brom from last season as bigger than the Man City draw.

I may have also stuck £10 on Rovers beating Cardiff.... At least I'd make £30 off them winning if they manage it.

It's the biggest draw since Anfield in '94, but yeah, Epic's the only 12 year old on here as Aaron says.

Ha, could say the same for you for the week prior to that :D
Mine was a sabbatical and timed to perfection, and wasn't a flounce. I stand by my position on that.

In 94, so anyone under 22 would have missed it, and most people under 27 or so probably wasn't there/able to go

Doesn't change the our lifetime comment, not all people on here are kids.

Not all people on here are grumpy old men.
Liverpool away was a year and a half before I was born and I'm not a kid. I believe JJH is younger than me too, so the in our lifetime comment stands.

Fuck it I'm not getting into a debate about a throwaway comment with you lot.

Edit. I hope Rovers win tonight to make this conversation entirely irrelevant.

A lot of us on here aren't 22, alright maybe I should have said "my" lifetime, but is it really worth squabbling over? Fuck me, talk about splitting hairs.

Oldham at home is dull but a decent chance to progress.

Our game against Hartlepool was turd and we were saved from extra time by a 94th minute counter attack, for some reason Grayson thinks playing Pringle and Gallagher on their wrong side is a good idea. Even though everyone else can see it is predictable, ineffective and extremely dull to watch. Daniel Johnson being asked to sit deep is absolutely criminal.

I love this, both knocked out by lower league opposition and you're using as some sort of moral high ground that you only lost at home to Oxford
