Well done Carlisle for getting through and commiserations to everyone else, looks like we all represented League 2 pretty well this evening!

Tonight's game was the death knell for McNulty IMO, Wilkinson and in particular Cuthbert were absolutely immense, no way that partnership should be broken up. Lee and Obrien also outstanding.

I think Walsall are the only L1 team at the moment, though Port Vale could be following them.

Barnsley play Everton tomorrow night.

Great draw for you guys - last time we turned QPR over in the League Cup 2nd round at Loftus Road (2-1 waaaaay back in 2007) we got effing Cardiff at Ninian Park.

Absolutely fucking quality, what a night. The money alone that a fixture like this brings is awesome, enough to sign one or two first team players as long as our owners don't do a disappearing act with the money like usual.

Over the penalty now. :D

That was great, one of the most enjoyable games of football i've seen in years. From a tactical point of view it was carnage, both teams seemingly playing six upfront and no one in midfield, but it was a great reminder that football can be amazing fun. Adama Traore and Grealish were fantastic for them, but Burke was great for us (what a goal), McLeod looked a handful and Aborah somehow managed to work as our only midfielder. Snijders is entertaining as well.

A fairer reflection would've been 6-6, but just a top night. One of those with no real stress or tension, summed up by Burke's screamer being applauded by the Holte End.

From my view in the Trinity Road side, controversially I don't think either were penalties. But anyway.
Bloody great game!

Proud Hatter this morning. Needed that performance to win a few people back over after a shit 7 days in the league. As FCH said above, should not be breaking up that partnership of Cuthbert/Wilkinson for Saturday unless one of them is knackered (could easily be the case after 120 mins against PL side!)

I'd hope they both start though. Back to the 4-2-3-1 that clearly suits us best IMO. Hall looks to have something about him, was impressed by his cameo after coming on. Cameron was outstanding and proves why he is a "Frank Lampard" style number 10. Late runs in to the box and goals rather than bundles of creativity like a Silva. Clearly dreaming ability wise but I hope you understand what I mean!

Need something Saturday now. We have a platform to build on, let's hope we can do so.

Honorary shout out to Carlisle for a cracking result beating QPRHaha. Good draw away to the redshite too. Enjoy that

Well done Carlisle, and good luck.

Us getting beat 3-0 at Swans is probably the least surprising result in the history of association football, but it sounds like we gave them something to think about and could have scored a couple. Watch us now do nothing at all and draw 0-0 against Mansfield on Saturday.

Couldn't get much worse a tie than Swansea away really, tough side to perform at, long distance and no real crowd.........pot luck really.

but most other sides did very wella nd good to see the 2 small sides which got through did get good draws and usually they play each other.

probably not going to Liverpool myself, I can really only afford 1 away trip next month and I really would rather do York being the last visit there and I'm not really one who enjoys them big side games as I really am a small game fan and don't enjoy the hussle and bussle, plus its always so fake.

but its an excellent draw for the club financially, I guess Liverpool like man utd sort've attach their fans to cup games with league games so should be a full house which is good.

On that, it turns out that because the city council are a bunch of incompetent buffoons, this season will not be the last visit to Bootham Crescent. We will be playing there for at least one more season after this, assuming the place doesn't fall down around our ears first. Unless you're planning on getting promoted?

Well, that was absolute shite.

The second half has done nothing to change my opinion that Muggleton shouldn't be a professional footballer and neither should Shaun Batt. Both shockingly bad.

Jamie Stephens looks good, mind.

Big congrats to Carlisle, a very good draw for you guys and just reward for being the last League 2 side standing in the competition.

I had a great time up in Sunderland and the first half was incredible! Scoring 3 times against a prem side was brilliant and we were more than holding our own. Second half they were just too good for us and a couple mistakes from us ended up being our downfall but it hasn't dampened my spirits; I'm incredibly proud of how we performed.

Good experience for our fans and players going up there to a good stadium and playing against players at a much higher level. None of our fans there will forget that first half in a hurry.

at least when making that amount of travel you got afew goal cheering moments when still involved in the game.

its all you usually want from a game vs a big club is a goal to cheer (and not a goal when 6 down)

Yeah I'm glad the smaller teams didn't get smashed and we put a decent account of ourselves in. Richards flashed a header just wide at 2-1 down and I was convinced we were gonna go on to win the game and then the cup.

Likewise Newcastle fans, friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about their footy club. Hopefully they`ll get the success they deserve in the not too distant future.
Feckin grueller of a journey home tho weren`t it, i`m assuming Exeter fans had the same trouble with the A1 being closed

I travelled about 70 miles from the match afterwards, was 11pm before I got onto the A1.
